This latest release of CodeSnip adds support for detecting and compiling with the newly released Delphi 11 Alexandria.

There are a few other minor changes - see the README.md file in the files tab for details.

CodeSnip v4.17.1 has just been released. This is a hotfix release that fixes a potential vulnerability in the jQuery code used by the program's easter egg.

It's extremely unlikely this would have causes a problem, but better safe etc.!

CodeSnip v4.17.1 has just been released. This is a hotfix release that makes changes to the "What's New" dialogue box that appears only when updating from a release of CodeSnip prior to v4.16.0.

These changes should have been included in v4.17.0.

CodeSnip v4.17.0 has just been released. The changes in this release are:

• Added support for test compilation with, and detection of, Delphi 10.2 Tokyo, Delphi 10.3 Rio and Delphi 10.4 Sydney compilers.
• Updated documentation re changes.
• Updated help file re changes.

Just in time for the closure of the delphidabbler.com web server (see previous) post comes CodeSnip v4.16.0.

This version removes all dependencies on delphidabbler.com and the web services hosted there. Users are strongly recommended to update.

Note that support for all prior versions ceases with the release of v4.16.0.

The delphidabbler.com and codesnip.delphidabbler.com web sites and web servers are scheduled to close on, or shortly after, 15 June 2020.

Following that date none of the web servers used by CodeSnip 1 to 4 will cease working. This means that (a) it will no longer be possible to download the Code Snippets Database in its current form and program and database updates and CodeSnip news will no longer be accessible from CodeSnip.... read more

CodeSnip's Google+ page has been deleted in advance of Google finally pulling the plug on Plus.

CodeSnip v4.15.1 has been released. This is a maintenance update that brings operating system detection up to date. More more information see the linked blog post.

CodeSnip v4.14.0 has been released. This minor update adds the facility to view the program's config files. It also has a new command line option to make it possible to specify a test web server to use when debugging web services used by CodeSnip. Operating system detection has been updated. And just because it's nearly Easter, I've added another doggy pic to the program's Easter egg!

Following the overhaul of the CodeSnip microsite last month I've now completely replaced it with a new Bootstrap based version. It's still in beta so comments and bug reports are welcome. See the linked blog post for more info.

CodeSnip's micro-site (in the codesnip subdomain of delphidaller.com) has been overhauled. Apart from fixing some errors the main change has been to update text and links following the move of CodeSnip's source code from Subversion to Git. This micro-site remains in beta.

CodeSnip's source code is now managed using Git on GitHub. The old Subversion repo on SourceForge has been left in place to preserve the project's source code history, but has been frozen at v4.13.1. The first release to be developed entirely on Git is v4.13.2. For more info, see the linked blog post

CodeSnip v4.13.2 has just been released. The main feature of this release is that an additional default namespace has been added when using Delphi XE and later to enable snippets that use the Registry unit to compile. In addition some hints used in the main window have been modified or corrected and few menu items and dialogue box names have been tweaked.

Due to the impending closure of GoogleCode, the CodeSnip source code repository has now been moved to SourceForge and the GoogleCode repo has been closed. Any references to the old GoogleCode URL now redirect to SourceForge. The CodeSnip ticketing system moved some time ago.

As from 2015/01/01 CodeSnip v3 will no longer get any Code Snippets Database updates. If you are one of the few remaining users, it really is time to update now. CodeSnip 4 users are not affected. For more info, see the linked blog post.

After many months with no updates, I've finally added a new routine - MinsToStr to the Date and Time category of the Code Snippets database. This routine was adapted from a routine submitted by 'Michael'.
