this functionality has been implemented in the upcoming 7.4 release. The feature was implemennted as follows. the SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH variable can be set to fix the value of timestamps included in build artifacts. this allows users to build DC3DD in a reproduceable way. If the user wishes to go a step further and replicate DC3DD's build used for testing the final release, A file named reproduceable.yml is included in the root of the source directory containing information about the build environment...

We do not have access to a system running MacOS. can someone determine if DC3DD 7.3.1 compiles on MacOS and comment on this issue? The glib issue might have been solved since we did some work on that for version 7.3.

I have determined this is due to an incomplete implementation. Currently determining the disposition of this bug. We either need to complete the implementation of this feature or remove it from the code base. WE will update this issue again once a final decision has been made.

--enable-hpadco has no effect if set in code; verified it doesn't appear anywhere in the sources other than in the README file. There is a related option, however, "--enable-hdparm", which is supposed to use hdparm code to check for HPA/DCO. dc3dd fails to compile with that option set due to a type mismatch. Resetting to priority 3.

DC3 is actively developing this tool and we plan to start regular releases once again. For a start, I have fixed this bug and we will be pushing DC3DD 7.3 which will build on modern versions of glibc. I'll upload the new version and update this ticket as soon as the software clears our internal processes.

So, it's been a long time, but I did a few things. So, I wanted to run parallel wipes, the program only does 1 imaging job. It's possible to perhaps change this, unsure if the program would do the wipes at the same time or consecutively. But, what I did to get around this was pipe the output to /dev/stdout on each process pushed to the background. I changed the interval from 100ms to 10000ms, and I initiated the tasks with a 2 second gap. I added this in to the report_imaging_progress fprintf (stderr,...

Just wanted to ask, is dc3dd a good option for potential secure wipe usage? Also, I wanted to ask about parallel wiping. So, one application I can think of is to run multiple instances, which run parallel to each other, and can run interactively. Sent from Mail for Windows 10

I'd like to do a dd3dd wipe=/dev/sdx pat=FF verb=on ssz=16M to my flash drive but recieved: [!!] cannot combine wipe= or hwipe= and ssz= Is this normal behavior? Or should I use the bufsz option instead? Thanks!
