  • Great. However does not seem to work in cli on Windows 2003 server
  • Nice app.
  • One of the best open source ECM products. Had some experience with 3.0 version. The only thing is bad - performance, there are still a lot of places in code which must be optimized.
  • I have seen more powerful and easy open source CMS, but this also has some features
  • Powerful, but not very easy & with terrible support

  • Excellent works!!
  • @David, Sorry you had a bad experience. I'd like to make a few clarifications so that people aren't confused by your review. The Enterprise Edition is not a "poorly crowd tested older community version". Enterprise is tested by our QA department using industry best practices that include both automated and manual tests. Enterprise includes patches and fixes that are later applied to the main code line (thus making them part of Community) which means that, strictly speaking, it is not "older" than Community. As for professional services, Alfresco has a small team that consists of a handful of consultants. They are clearly Alfresco employees--there is no attempt to make them appear otherwise. We do have a network of 250+ partners around the world but they are fully independent of Alfresco. Anyway, I hope you give us another chance. If not, good luck on your future projects. @Gary, Your statement that "Alfresco is not really open source" is simply not true. Community is distributed under the LGPL v3 license. It is true that all of Alfresco's committers are employed by Alfresco, but we regularly accept and incorporate code from the community into the code line. Hope this helps, Jeff Potts, Chief Community Officer Alfresco Software
  • The software by itself is okay but the company and its support is horrible. The free version is called community Alfresco. They tell you if you get the Enterprise version you get their award winning support and get on the Enterprise path which is just a poorly crowd tested older community version. They will sell you an Enterprise license for x and will point you at this consultant to help you with the migration. This seeming third party is actually owned by Alfresco and doubles the price of the product. Given that fact it is in their interest to make migrating from community to enterprise arduous... which it is. Their support staff is rude and after many submissions on several issues has yet to offer a solution for anything or even add value to any of the conversations. We have solved them all on our own. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere for a solution unless you are willing to deal with a buggy product, poor documentation, and even worse support. At least the sales staff is nice.

  • Make sure you check out the documentation as there's lots to this program.
  • good job
  • Excelente
  • Most of these good reviews appear to be fake to boost the rating. Not really open source.

  • After consulting with a company trying to use this I'm not terribly impressed. Not very powerful or easy to use.

  • We have started to migrate a big and strategic IBM Filenet P8 ECM system to Alfresco Enterprise after an evaluation period and user acceptance...

  • This is an enterprise class application. For its kind, it is easy to install and use. If you consider using an ECM application, put this on your checklist.
