"Life changing experience" Edited 2025-04-26
Pros: Working as a Public Speaking and Creative Writing Coach here has been an immensely rewarding and transformative experience. The supportive team culture, combined with extensive exposure to diverse learning environments and strong career growth opportunities, has played a vital role in shaping my professional journey. The 1:1 class structure allows me to build meaningful personal connections with students, understand their unique learning styles, and nurture their individual strengths with a focused and customized approach. This environment not only fosters student success but also enables continuous personal and professional growth as an educator.
Cons: My journey with PS has been a highly enriching experience. However, it does come with its set of challenges. Coaches are expected to adapt to each child’s unique needs and often step outside their comfort zones to ensure effective learning. Additionally, while some parents can be demanding and less flexible, it is essential to remain patient and attentively cater to their needs, always striving to understand and align with their expectations.
Overall: With 3.5 years of experience at PlanetSpark, my approach to teaching has undergone a significant transformation. Just like any regular teacher I too used to focus on delivering content and notes. But once I joined PS i understood that I should emphasize fostering the overall development of students' communication skills and personalities. This shift has been instrumental in refining my teaching methods and approach. The supportive team environment, extensive exposure, and ample career growth opportunities have played a pivotal role in my professional journey. The 1:1 class format enables me to build strong, personal connections with students, assess their unique learning needs, and provide targeted support to enhance their individual strengths.

While the role is largely rewarding, it does require an adaptability to meet each child’s specific needs and a readiness to step outside one’s comfort zone. Additionally, managing expectations with certain parents can be challenging, as some may have more rigid or less flexible requirements. However, with patience and a proactive approach to understanding their concerns, these challenges offer opportunities for deeper collaboration and growth. Overall, this experience has been profoundly fulfilling, contributing to both my personal and professional development. -

"Good experience" Edited 2025-04-24
Pros: Experienced Teachers
In our case, Sharmila Mam was brilliant. She understood our child’s personality and adjusted her teaching style. And yes, you can ask for a teacher change if needed.
Gradual But Sure Improvement
Don’t expect magic in 2-3 sessions. This is not school tutoring—it’s a skill-building process. Give it time. For us, it took 15-17 sessions before visible results.
Interactive Learning Tools
The LMS(Learning Management System) has various activities like SparkX, quizzes, games, etc. My son loves SparkX challenges and even competes to be on top of the leaderboard.
Practice Classes
These are like group classes where kids from different cities join in. My son made friends from Hyderabad and Mumbai! They do fun activities like storytelling debates even after the class, etc.
Support Team Response
We raised a ticket once when there was a login issue (Ticket No. 287643), and they called back the next day. That showed me that they do care.Cons: Initial Sessions Can Be Dull
The first 5-6 classes may feel slow. Some kids(like mine) take time to adapt.
A Bit Expensive
Yes, the course is slightly on the higher side, especially if you go for long-term plans. But it depends on how you value communication skills.
Technical Glitches
Sometimes the LMS has bugs, and the voice or video doesn’t work properly. But the support team usually fixes it within a day or two.
Curriculum Can Improve
I feel some topics are too repetitive. More variety in creative writing topics would be great.Overall: I usually don’t write reviews this long, but this one is coming from a place of honesty, personal experience, and, most importantly, as a parent who genuinely wanted to help his child adapt and grow in a completely new environment. This is for those parents who are currently confused, frustrated, or hopeful about online classes like PlanetSpark. Please read this till the end if you're seriously considering it.

Let me start from the beginning.
Background – Why We Chose PlanetSpark
I am originally from Varanasi. A proud two-tier city, where life is a bit slower, values are traditional, and exposure is limited compared to metro cities. My son was born in Varanasi, did his initial schooling there, and everything was going well. But then I got transferred to Noida, and obviously, we all moved together.
Now here’s where the problem started.
We admitted our son into Vishwa Bharati Public School in Noida. A well-known school with good faculty and infrastructure. But as expected, the environment was fast-paced. Kids were smart, outspoken, competitive—and my son, who was already shy, became even more reserved. He started feeling left out. He barely spoke in class and would come back home quiet. As a parent, it was heartbreaking to see that transformation.
That’s when I started looking for ways to help him gain confidence.
Discovering PlanetSpark
One evening while scrolling through Instagram, I saw an ad from PlanetSpark. “Build Public Speaking Skills in Kids” — it said. That line caught my eye.
I filled in my details out of curiosity, not commitment. The next day, a counselor from PlanetSpark called. They spoke nicely and scheduled a free demo class with a teacher named Mrs. Sharmila Nahate.
The Demo Experience
We were all seated in front of the laptop. My son was super nervous. He barely spoke in the class, and at one point, he almost cried because he couldn’t read something out loud. But I noticed something else. Mrs. Sharmila was patient. She didn’t scold him or push him unnecessarily. She kept encouraging and made the session lighthearted.
After the session ended, I asked my son if he wanted to continue. His answer was a straight "No." Honestly, I expected that. But something in me told me that this program could help.
I discussed with my wife, and we decided to take a small course – a trial pack kind of thing – just to see how it goes. We thought: “At least he doesn’t have to go anywhere. If he opens up even a little, it’s worth it.”
The First Few Sessions – Not Impressive
The first 5-6 classes didn’t go well. He stayed quiet. No energy. No excitement. It felt like I was dragging him to the laptop.
So I messaged the teacher directly. I told her I was thinking of discontinuing because my child was clearly not interested.
That’s when Sharmila Mam replied with confidence: “Sir, give me a few more classes. Let me try my way. Your child will enjoy, I promise.”
The Turning Point
From the 7th session, the teacher completely changed her method. She started using real-life examples, stories, and fun games. She began with small speaking exercises like “Tell me what you did today, ” or “If you were a superhero, what power would you want?”
Suddenly, my son started smiling during sessions. Then, he started opening up. By the 17th class, he looked forward to them! That day, he told me, “Papa, aaj Sharmila mam ne mujhe hero banaya.” That one sentence made me feel like we had made the right choice.
He began telling us what he learned after every class. He started using English words more confidently. One day during a family gathering, he narrated a short story confidently in front of everyone. That was our moment of happiness. Everyone was shocked!
Honest Feedback for Other Parents
Here are some real, practical insights for parents like us:
Key Moments I’ll Never Forget:
The first time he introduced himself in English in school assembly.
When he asked me to buy a notebook just for creative writing practice.
When his school teacher praised his improved vocabulary.
My Final Verdict(After 8 Months)
If you are a parent like me—coming from a smaller city, trying to give your child the confidence to match with metro kids—PlanetSpark can be a great platform. But only if you:
Stay patient in the first few weeks.
Don’t expect overnight results.
Allow the child to build a bond with the teacher.
Talk to the teacher regularly.
Give space for your child to enjoy the learning.
My Rating: 4 out of 5
I’m not giving 5 stars because of the price and a few glitches, but I’m happy. My son, who once hesitated to even speak to neighbors, now participates in group storytelling sessions online. He’s more expressive, more confident, and more curious.
To PlanetSpark and especially to Sharmila Mam – thank you. You’ve put a spark in my child’s life(pun intended). And to fellow parents – take the first step. Give it time. You’ll thank yourself later. -

After the first demo class, they will schedule a video call and they'll force you to take up the classes with discounts applicable only then.
They say that the course syllabus is very flexible and the content can be customized. Its totally wrong. Their committment and promises are fake. Dont trust them.
If you raise the issue initally about the syllabus content being wrong, the teachers will say to continue the classes and it will be rectified later. However they'll scam you later by saying that the money is fully non-refundable because of 5 classes (including practise classes) being completed, and its their policy to not refund anything.
The Academic Coordinator who first calls you and give you their personal contact number for any clarifications in the future, never picks up your phone again, after you pay the fees.
They are totally fake and non-trusted. Please don't fall for their scams.
We have done lots of follow-ups with many people in their company, written emails, yet we finally realized that we were scammed by the master-minds.
We are ashamed to tell that we are fooled by these crooks.
Parents, please don't trust PlanetSpark. They are here only to scam you and cheat you. -

"Big Scammers - Stay away people." Posted 2024-05-22
Pros: 1. None. When compared to other online tutoring services this India based teaching methods and material is out dated and not suitable to anyone on this Planet.
Cons: 1. Material is out dated.
2. Worst online tutoring service.
3. Youtube videos are better than their portal.
4. Double standards in terms of fee structure. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else unless you want to donate your money to this Junk.Overall: Class coordinator, Online Tutors are worst and very poor communication. Training material is worst and Teacher just go through the Slides and there is no enthusiasm. Changed tutor twice and took a break hoping to get a good tutor 3rd time. But each and every time worst tutor experience. These guys are worst. I don't know how anyone can give a good rating for PlanetSpark. They are either paid by Planespark or absolutely don't have time to look into what PlanetSpark teaching their kids.

Financial Aspect:
PlanetSpark conveniently hides refund details but their agents
don't mention about this but they promise anytime if classes are not suitable or want to discontinue PlanetSpark will refund for remaining sessions. So paid the full amount $1350 with the contract to repay if not satisfied the class.
Opened numerous tickets and approached them, but no one will respond and ghost you. Scammers, Scammers (Don't know the better word to describe).
Can share my contract and ticket numbers and chat conversations. I'm very disappointed with service and their double standard policies. Don't get fooled by their Facebook posts or online adds.
If you are planning to use PlanetSpark services or thinking of joining their team, you are sabotaging your career or your Childs valuable time. -

"Scam online platform - not good for foreign kids" Edited 2024-01-05
Pros: N/A.
Cons: I have joined PlanetSpark for public speaking class, after I attended two classes, I felt it would not be good for USA kids and also their curriculum is not updated with the real world. So I decided to withdraw the class and send out the email to proceed the refund process since I was in probation period. I didn’t receive any response from them afterwards. Even the account manager who was my point of contact for the class and customer service are not helping me to refund the money. I have sent couple of emails and multiple follow ups. I don’t receive response for last two months.
Overall: I think, PlanetSpark is not genuine for financial and won’t recommend for any foreign kids.

Cons: They will enroll you and then no correspondence after that. My money is stuck from the last 4 months.
