I think Tim Drake probably thinks that if Jason had not died and/or someone else had stepped into the Robin mantle he would be living an ordinary life however I think he is 100% incorrect about this. that boy is a very specific kind of unwell and or Built Different that leads you to sticking your nose in Something and if you are in a world with superheroes and have a parasocial relationship with superheroes it is going to be something superadjacent. he is simply not capable of being normal or staying out of things. the likeliest though certainly not the only outcome I think is Barbara fishing his digital presence out of the batcomputers like a kitten out of the garbage 17 times in a row and by the 17th time she’s like okay this kid is 1) persistent as hell 2) by all appearances just trying to snoop because he’s bored? 3) absolutely not Getting Anywhere but I must admit he’s making me work a little. Cass honey can you go terrorize him a little and then tell him he’s getting coffee with me

if Tim Drake lived in a world without superheroes he would either do jail time for stalking a celebrity or he would be a famous teenage activist in the vein of Greta Thunberg

I fucking OPENED TUMBLR to post THIS EXCERPT because the gap between “Wally” and “Mr. Allen” cracks me up. but then I released the worms

Text box of Tim's internal narration from Red Robin: "Flash. I assume Z's not talking about Wally. Or Mr. Allen, for that matter."ALT

I was wondering why Tim was being such a jackass to Steph and then I went. Wait. The part of Grant Morrison’s run right before (I think. I’m not reading that whole crossover) Bruce’s death, she was still one of the people Tim was trying to get back at the Lazarus pit. So like 1. where did I miss that shit happening 2. OKAY TIM’S BEHAVIOR HERE MAKES A WHOLE LOT MORE SENSE NOW I THE READER AM NOT MAD AT STEPH FOR IT BUT IF I WERE TIM I WOULD MAYBE ALSO BE PRETTY FUCKING PISSED ABOUT “OH YOU LET ME MOURN YOU”

Tim Drake narration box: "I thought I would die as Robin."ALT

IN WHICH MY EYES BUG OUT OF MY HEAD

how fuckin long have you thought that, Tim? Just fucking wondering??

(also I saw someone dismissively saying that Ra’s being Weird As Fuck About Tim was a fanon invention and ‘Ra’s only thought about Tim like once’ and uh. Across multiple separate occasions Ra’s has offered him money, power, wealth, sex with other people, immortality, and the resources of the League of Assassins, in order to get Tim to work with him, and then sent Tim minion-bodyguards with no return option.)

i bet Bruce recalls Dick’s childhood super fondly and does not at all remember that his kid would try to stab him with a pencil if Bruce tried to “help” with math homework a little too diligently
