Matt Mercer is the Tolkein to Brennan's CS Lewis

They are both great friends. And Mercer does an incredible job with lore building and world building, figuring out the details of history and customs and religion and how the people all interact and if this trade route here crosses that continent there, what does that mean for the Arakokra of these cliffs?

And Brennan bursts in with "I have STRONG FEELINGS about morality and the shape of the worlds I make will be conduits for those feelings, history be damned! Talking Lion? Absolutely. Strange puppet man, we don't know how real they are? Perfect. And let's get some Quangles going just for the hell of it"

Someone on here made a great post about how Cassandra Brand is a clear reference to Greek mythologys Cassandra, a priestess who was doomed to only tell true prophecies but never be believed. Cassandra obviously warns Miles and her friends about what his new miracle fuel will do and is entirely disregarded.

I read this post and was like "oh that's so smart, you're so right." And then like, went on with whatever I was doing.

And then that night I'm laying in bed and my eyes snap open and my brain is like "her sister was HELEN."

Cassandra forsaw the fall of Troy and was not believed.

Helen caused the fall of Troy.
