Announcement to my fellow Espresseleine lovers

Ok, if there are any espresseleine lovers who are still actually alive anymore, I have an announcement. I’m writing a fic. It’ll be on AO3 soon once I have a definite plan for the story and how it’ll go, but for now it’s on Wattpad. Even if you don’t regularly use Wattpad, I’d appreciate if you could just support by reading or dropping a vote or something. It’d mean a lot, and that would kind of make it so I can’t stop or else I might disappoint people.

The link is here, (my profile is here) and I did make that cover myself with watercolor, so I hope you like it. There are a few things about the AU, which I’d like you to know before reading.

  • It’s very gay. Both of them are also trans because why not and I can give Madeleine some absolutely devious period cramps which will be fun when I don’t know what to add.
  • The personalities aren’t 100% canon. Madeleine’s less narcissistic, and Espresso’s a bit more… out of it (lore reasons apply). I tried my best to make it feel like something that might happen (maybe if the devs were high).
  • I tried my best on grammar. I don’t think there are any mistakes or run-on sentences, but please forgive me if there are. I usually write the brunt of my works from 8:30-10:30 at night, and the idea was already one I got from a fever dream. I try to do at least 1500 words per chapter, most are around 2500.
  • I don’t think I’ll add smut. in a possible second book I might, but neither of them, especially Espresso, are in a good enough mental state for me to do that without it being really awkward. The only warnings would be blood mentions n stuff.
  • They’re not human! Not cookies, it is technically a human AU, but there are also a lot of nonhumans. If you don’t like that, this is your warning.
  • My post schedule is wonky. I don’t know when I’ll post. You don’t know when I’ll post. I might randomly change shit. IDK. This is why it’s not on AO3 yet.
  • I love you all :) let’s bring back Espresseleine. Blue jester twinks are okay, but we need to revive them. They haven’t had content or any real fan interaction in like 3 years, come on.

ok i did promise i would stop replying to this post but genuinely genuinely these tags get it. a huge reason why it pisses me off so bad when people portray him as that is like... Idk. I feel like people hear "hes bpd coded" and go "oh so hes an awful abusive person. got it!"

BPD is theorized to come from stuff like CPTSD or just, growing up with a lot of trauma from your peers- such as abandonment, isolation, bullying, ect. Darkners are WEIRD but Tenna fits the bill for how someone would develop bpd as well as the symptoms for it, and it's. Exhausting. When people treat it as the "abuser" disorder. BPD and NPD shake hands in this phenomenon.

It's important to note that B spec disorders are still just. A group of symptoms, they don't define a person- just how they might act due to brain chemicals and how they were raised- and MOST people with these disorders even have a really good grasp on their behaviors. I've had best friends with NPD before, who were still incredibly sweet and caring- them admitting me to the fact that they had NPD only helped me go "oh, so they just need some boosts in confidence and some patience once in awhile". Disorders are disorders, they can suck to live with but you aren't a bad person for having them.

And like. I feel like I'm insane for insisting people are ableist for characterizing Tenna as this, like it sounds like crazy discourse, right?? Like some real tumblr stuff. But it is genuinely an issue people have with folks who display those symptoms- they're so used to the therapy talk of "this isnt your problem" and "dont do emotional labor for others" and "traumadumping makes you a bad person" that they don't realize like. People can be mentally ill. They might not even know if their behavior is harmful because no ones sat them down to tell them, they just get ditched right away. While yes those sentences can be true you also SHOULD have compassion for people, people really have stopped having compassion for folks and it's exhausting. So they write them off as abusers and leave when it's not at all like that. So they see a character in something fictional that obviously is begging for help and go "wow, what an emotionally manipulative person haha. i bet this guy abuses everyone in his life"

like. do you see what i mean. sorry im rambling but you get it right. they see a guy in need of help and categorize him as evil. am i insane

spamton as a phenomenon was really funny. he shows up in chapter 2 and is just the most fucked up thing ever. i want to play a game looking motherfucker. crawls out of a dumpster and starts having a breakdown in front of you and then tries to kill you and then later tries to kill you again. within a year there's a million 20k word selfship fanfics about just forcibly washing him
