PLEASE READ THIS!!

I’m sorry that I still need your help. I swear I’m working hard on my university assignments so I can get my degree and find a job. I hate, hate, hate that this campaign is my only option right now but the future is so uncertain. One minute we hear rumors of a ceasefire, the next we hear more bombs falling. In the meantime, prices keep increasing every single day and we’ve been ignoring calls from our landlord who wants to raise our rent again. I swear the price of one 25 kilo sack of flour has reached $1,000 in my area. How are we supposed to keep up to feed a family of ten?

I’m exhausted. The sewage system is mostly destroyed, garbage piles up in the street and the families living in tents below us don’t have functioning toilets. The smell, oh God, I can’t take it anymore and the heat is making it worse. I think I broke something in my hand and I can’t go to a doctor because hospitals have been evacuated. I walk long distances every day to borrow my friend’s laptop so I can work on my assignments. I’m tired, so, so tired, but I can’t collapse because my family relies on me. My brothers have been struggling to find jobs since the end of the ceasefire, and whatever they find can’t cover any expenses. My mother is sick and has to take care of my younger sisters and my grandmother. If I give up, we’re all dead.

Please help, I swear I’ll be thankful for anything. If you can’t afford to donate, then please at least share and I won’t ask more of you. Please.

Please, we don’t want to die 😭😭😭

Unsurprisingly, the cost of living in an active war zone is very high.

Hello friends I am Lubna from Gaza, a mother of three children My middle son, Nasser, has been sick since his birth Nasser was born without a thyroid gland He needs to take thyroxine medication every day to compensate for this. Unfortunately, the doctors discovered this on the fiftieth day after birth😭 which worsened his condition for the worse, and he began to suffer from problems in perception, speech, and growth. My child is 4 years old For years, to this day, he does not speak and still uses pampers We were monitoring his condition in specialized centers before the war Things were better, and now, after 405 days of war, suffering, displacement and high cost of living, we have lost our home and our source of income We are unable to help ourselves and our children I am in the midst of a fierce battle with war conditions and the indescribable high cost of living to provide food, medicine, and care for my children I appeal to everyone in good conscience to help my family by donating or participating.

Thank you so much 🙏

You can read my story here, and donate here.

My campaign is vetted as #191 on the @gazavetters list, .

Share the campaign, my friends.

Miku from your culture meme— but we go mash it up TRINIDAD STYLE✨✨🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🦅🦅

Caring for a baby on a daily basis is challenging enough even when you live in the comfort of your home with all basic necessities available and adequate healthcare at your disposal whenever you need it. Imagine being responsible for the safety and well-being of three newborns (and four other children) while a brutal relentless war is raging around you, displacing you from one hell to another that keeps getting worse each time. This is my family's struggle everyday since the beginning of this cruel onslaught on Gaza. The situation was already unbearably harsh when they were in the camp in Rafah. Now, that they have been displaced again to Khan Yunis,my family's suffering has only been intensified. Food, water and other basic needs are almost impossible to come by. In the sweltering heat, Our babies are surrounded by rubble, disease, garbage, insects and all sorts of dangers you can think of with no medical care whatsoever. The little baby formula they had has almost ran out and even if they were lucky to obtain more there is no water clean enough to prepare the bottles for three newborns. To say that these conditions are inhumane is an understatement but what's even more terrifying is that any promise of safety is nothing but a sham as the occupation keeps bombing supposedly "safe zones" since the beginning of this waking nightmare.

My family have lost everything they held dear, their home which they built after years of hard work and patience, loved ones and neighbours, their jobs and livelihoods, their memories, their dreams and any semblance of a normal life. These three little angels and their siblings are the only glimmer of hope they have left amidst all the darkness and despair. Please help them so they don't lose them too.

Your support is now needed more than ever. It's what keeps us from completely giving up.Thanks to your love and generosity we have reached 27,774 € out of 70,000 € in a matter of days but we still have a long way to go.

Every contribution truly makes a difference and brings us closer to saving our babies lives.

Please donate if you can and share our story widely as you're able to.

We are forever grateful 🙏

please please please help save these children

it broke today that biden airdropped aid to gaza. other than the fact that this is an obvious pr move ahead of his re-election campaign, i think it's important to stress how ineffective this method is compared to just allowing humanitarian aid to come through. airdrops carry far less aid than truck convoys, for one, and require an airdrop zone with a lot of idealistic conditions that don't often coincide. this is a major reason why you hear a lot of airdrops being conducted at beaches--and why a lot of them have been blown to the sea. and what's even more dangerous about that is that a lot of these palestinians are malnourished, starving, in a delirious state of mind. many of them are so utterly hungry that they'd be willing to swim through just to get their hands on a sodden meal. but apparently this is the best thing the us, which literally funds israel's ongoing genocide, can do for palestinians at the moment.

i think the biggest reason i find this so insidious is because it implies the us has to play by israel's rules, even though it's basically already confirmed that there are us soldiers in palestine. the us is telling us that the best thing it can do is airdrop aid, rather than strongarm israel into allowing ground-delievred aid to come through. the us is acting like it has red tape it has to contend with.

but the us is the red tape. the us literally holds the power. it knows what it's doing. it's actually jarring watching the united states government try to infantilize itself.

i’m. killing you. i’m KILLING you. i don’t care about anything else, i don’t give a SHIT about anything else. i- my programming is just get. that. fucking. guy. right. now.

Okay, sure you love "feminine rage" and "the monstrous femme" but are you normal about Black women in media who are anything other than the sassy supportive best friend?

people literally pretend to love "feminine rage" the moment a woman does 1 inch of a thing that is morally questionable the inquisition squad is seated to assassinate her.

This post is about white women's love for "feminine rage" drying up the second it's coming from a Black woman and how the anger of Black women isn't romanticized in the same way because it's seen as the default for us. This post is asking non-black people but white women esp to ask themselves if they see Black women's rage as a valid form of self-expression and just as cathartic as Amy Adams screaming into a pillow gifs or if it makes them uncomfortable because they can't relate one to one to it.

SAY THAT SHIT!!!!!!!!!!! Their idea of "feminine rage" is wrapped up in some weird cis white women-centric ideals. You love "feminine rage" but if you read the angry dykes and Black trans women who are vocal about their feelings and aren't just sassy catchphrase machines I write you'd be shaking in fear like a wet dog!

Islamic Relief also offers the option to donate to Yemen and Sudan efforts. Please, if you're able to, spread this to other people and communities beside online spaces.

I love it when people tell me about me because I have no idea who I am

Hey guys

There's a post going around about something called the "Invertebrate Studies Institute" needing help. A few comments made on the post made me curious, so I checked it out and it seems sketchy to me.

The institute is a startup and the owner has displayed misogynistic behavior. He made a company and received "$1.3 million in research grants from the USDA and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation" in 2011, but there aren't any research papers listed on the ISI website more recent than 2012 (sources: ISI website, People Behind the Science podcast transcript, All Things Bugs LLC webpage). It's possible his research is still a work in progress, but I would expect to see some genome sequencing work at the least since that seems to be a major focus.

Also, it's possible to ship frozen specimens in dry ice and have them be fine. Even stuff for molecular work and genome sequencing. So the inability to get help from other research groups, to where they're asking for a local freezer plug-in, is a bit weird to me.

Some screenshots below the cut, didn't screenshot everything since it's mostly just text, but I did cite the sources if you wanna read them yourself.

Not sure what the overall point is of this post is besides "seems sketch to me" but I saw a lot of people worrying on the initial post so I wanted to at least mention this stuff.
