okay but a s6 episode that parallels jubilation and adrinette are on a date but marinette can’t shake this feeling that something is so, so wrong, it’s been plaguing her for some weeks now and she’s having weird dreams that feel like memories, and she just looks at adrien who looks so, so happy and all she can say is “I don’t think this is right” would do me wonders
Finally watched the Miraculous Ladybug Movie (or Awakening, if it's still called that!) and if there's anything I can say, is that it's very clear that Jeremy has a fondness for the characters that's kind of (really) lacking in the show. It was way too shocking to see this piece of media actually treat Ladybug and Chat Noir like equals and I absolutely adored the emphasis on togetherness as their source of strength.
The absolute highlight of this movie are definitely Ladynoir, to nobody's surprise. How they managed to make them feel brand new whilst still giving the viewer that sense of familiarity is crazy to me. The sweetest part about them is just how open they are with each other for a change, both as civilians and as super heroes which is something that never happened in the show and that I never even realized until we got this iteration.
After the tumultuous ending of Season 5, this movie played out pretty satisfactorily in the end and perhaps that's why I view it so favorably. I won't spoil much, but I'll simply say that the way the movie handled its ending is pretty on-par with what literally most fans of the show had ever wanted.
It's a pretty nice stand-alone introduction for anyone who wants to get into the show and a pretty delightful re-introduction for those who may have dropped it along the way.
After attending the Movie Avant-Premiere
Things to keep in mind going in:
- it’s an Action movie musical, it’s quite a unique genre
- These characters are seperate from the show, and you’ll notice it. It helps to not compare or expect them to behave like they do in the show
- You will be emotionally wrecked
- It is absolutely worth it to wait for the full movie. Don’t let yourself get spoiled or your curiousity get the best of you, there’s too much that I wouldn’t want to see ruined for anyone
- there are some timing issues within the movie, sometimes the seperation between scenes is vague, don’t be suprised
- The movie isn’t perfect, just like every other movie out there. Don’t set your expectations skyscraper high, but even then, there’s things you’ll be blown away by
Did I love it? 100%
Were there things that bothered me? 100%
For me, the pros outweighed the cons, and I cannot wait to hear this movie in English.

I've seen it too and enjoyed it a lot (in English!!) and this is very accurate! just go in knowing that it's not going to be much like the show, enjoy the gorgeous visuals (seriously this movie is so pretty), and you'll have a good time!
so originally when the Alliance rings showed up I was wondering when Gabe got so smart because it's kind of a genius move on his part, but looking into it it's actually kind of a dangerous gambit
he's created a piece of technology that will put him further in the public eye in a positive light because the rings alert people about akuma attacks, but if Ladybug and Chat Noir find out the rings are how Monarch is transferring Miraculous powers to his victims then he's also put his identity at risk because it's very public knowledge that he created them
plus since using so many Miraculous combined with losing Nathalie is having a negative effect on his physical and mental health, this feels like it could be the beginning of the end for him, but we'll have to wait and see
honestly it would be so easy to believe that Nathalie was loyal to Emilie before either of them were ever involved with Gabriel. it would explain why she stayed with him when he was trying to get her back and even though she cared about Adrien she went along with his insanity because once he brought Emilie back, everything would be fine. she was completely dedicated to him, including destroying her physical health for his cause, up until he revealed he was ultimately doing everything out of a selfish desire for power. and then she dropped his crazy ass lmao
