oh. two of worms. it means worms are coming to your house.. interpret that how you will..

PUH-LEAZE y’all I am BEGGING that we bring back 2007-2009 cult classic musical comedy/murder mystery Pushing Daisies’s hit character Emerson Cod bc I have genuinely never seen anything like him before or since. like???? He is a grizzled noir detective, but he went to art school. He knits when he’s stressed. He is a published pop-up book author. He (used to) love snowmen. He wears bright, shiny patterned shirts under plain brown suits. He canonically has a thing for femdoms. He loves dim sum so much that he almost cries about it. His canonical best friend is his mom. His other best friend is a neurodivergent necromancer. His other other best friend is an insane horse girl/sexy waitress/nun. His worst friend is a zombie. He is fat. He is Black. He is an asshole, and he is the king of the whole wide world. I miss him every single day.

patron saint of conflicts of interest

No tech CEO or NYT bestselling novelist will ever match the creativity of a humble French postman who decided on a whim to spend thirty-three years building a surreal, majestic palace with the bricks and mortar of his dreams.

Couple of interesting additions:

1. Ferdinand Cheval tripped over a stone and was inspired by its shape, eventually stating, "It represents a sculpture so strange that it is impossible for man to imitate, it represents any kind of animal, any kind of caricature. I said to myself: since Nature is willing to do the sculpture, I will do the masonry and the architecture."

Here's the tripped-over sandstone in question, which explains some of the abstract design:

Oh, and also:

2. He tripped and started this when he was 43.

took a break from drawing for a bit but im back now!! this was inspired by alphonse mucha but im not sure i hit the mark, if anyone has tips lmk!!

i just saw a post on reddit titled "the writer is cooking but the food doesn't agree with me" and it was about OP clicking off a fic because they don't like the direction it's going in. slightly different context but can we all be more like this reddit OP. i think "the writer is cooking but the food doesn't agree with me" should be the new "don't like don't read." dead doves may give you diarrhea but don't make that everyone else's problem.

Servant: Your highness, a party of adventurers has answered your call for help.

King: Excellent. What are they like?

Servant: One of them is a dragon-lady.

King: Interesting. Those are rare around these parts.

Servant: Another is a goblin paladin.

King: Not a role you usually see goblins in.

Servant: A third is a purple-skinned tiefling.

King: I didn't even know they come in that color.

Servant: The last one is a sapient gelatinous cube.

King: What. How did these four even meet?

Servant: They met in a tavern two hours ago, apparently.

Queen: My love, please return to bed.

King: *pacing* Why would a gelatinous cube come to a tavern? Can it even get drunk? How did it fit through the doors?

All-cubes party

Hypothesis debunked.

I'm not even disappointed about being wrong, I love that it's kinda evenly balanced?

(The Dragon-lady got my vote too lmao, shouldn't have underestimated the amount of lesbians and strong-woman-kinners on this site)

3rd person is the most common perspective style…

I want to trap the can't-read-3rd-person poster in the same room as one of those people who hates 1st person so much they want to wipe it from the universe (usually through not being widely read and only encountering 1st person ever in a particularly annoying type of YA fiction). then we'd see who wins, and if they manage to overcome their differences and fall in love. i think i could make a whole anime out of that

The encounter between them should be narrated in second-person. To annoy both of them.

You think that’s a wonderful idea.

Yeah okay, I'll reblog that!

you mean yeah okay you'll reblog that

when I was like 14 I used to reblog these posts on here that were like "YOUR 20S ARE NOT AN IMAGINARY RACE YOURE DOING JUST FINE!!" just to be positive towards my older mutuals even though i didn't really get what they were about and I'd be in the tags like "#so true!! #everyone does things at their own pace!!" and now im 24 I'm thinking back to it and it's like Oh of course the imaginary race. Which im losing
