How do you rack up the rewards? Play F1® 2021! Whichever game modes you play, you’ll increase your XP and rocket through the tiers. Head to our Podium Pass challenges and you’ll earn even more XP.

You’ve got eight weeks to complete Podium Pass Series 2, so you have plenty of time to put your foot down. Don’t forget your XP and tier progress will be reset at the beginning of each Series!

Dazzle those around you with the Neon Rainbow livery, available in the VIP tier. We’ve paired this with the ‘Hydro Dipped’ suit and gloves, both of which you can find in the VIP tier, and the free tier ‘Overflow’ helmet.

Streamline’ your way through the field with the livery, suit (both available in the VIP tier), gloves (found in the Item Shop), alongside the ‘Fracture’ helmet, which you can also check out in the Item Shop.

Show them how ruthless you are on track with VIP livery ‘Nightshade’. Here, we’ve paired it with the ‘Indivar’ gloves and suit, both available in the free tier, and the ‘Masquerade’ helmet, which will be in the Item Shop.

Unlock the ‘Vintage’ livery in the free tier. We’ve gone back in time and paired this with the ‘History’ gloves and suit, also ready for you to uncover. The final piece here is the VIP helmet ‘Backstrap’.

Alongside liveries, suits, helmets, and gloves, you can unlock victory radio calls, so you can take the chequered flag in style. Some of this Series’ radio calls will be instantly recognisable, especially the “Woohoo yes yes yes guys, yes!” and “To whom it may concern...”, which are available for you to unlock in the VIP tier.

Podium Pass Series 2 comes to an end on November 10, so plenty of time to rack up the race wins and level up your look.

Take a closer look at the leading lights from Braking Point, the new, thrilling story experience in F1® 2021. Featuring a new and returning cast, Braking Point allows players to choose from one of five teams for a shot at stardom in the highly charged world of Formula 1®.

Aiden Jackson

Aiden is a potential star in the making. A young, promising driver embarking on his first F1® season, who idolises his teammate, Casper Akkerman. Jackson is viewed as a success story, having worked his way up from F2™. Easy to like, Aiden can put up a good front for the cameras. However, behind the scenes he’s struggling with the transition to the big league. Expected to be courted by one of the bigger teams, he has hit the ground running and is already making waves.

Casper ‘Cas’ Akkerman

Known for his ice-cold and no-nonsense approach, Casper is a steady hand determined to lift his team away from the midfield battle. His calm temperament and dogged determination have served him well throughout his illustrious career. However, with a crop of young talent breaking through, he’s feeling the pressure of trying to remain at the top of his game despite being in the twilight of his career.

Devon Butler

The Braking Point antagonist. Devon is much more than a cocky, loud-mouthed upstart trying to make a name for himself. Highly respected on the track, Devon’s questionable off-track behaviour leaves a lot to be desired. Always ready with a wisecrack comment or barbed piece of advice, Butler uses his encounters to get under the skin of any driver he deems as a threat. Love or loathe him, Devon Butler intends to become a living legend in the world of Formula 1®.

Brian Doyle

Brian is the direct liaison to the team principal, and it falls on him to keep things running smoothly. Doyle spends a lot of his time as the go-between, passing on messages, race strategies, or ironing out any grievances within the team. He has established himself within the sport and runs a well-oiled machine. A larger than life character who lives and breathes Formula 1®, Doyle is up when it’s going well but crashes to earth when things don’t go according to plan.

Zoe Akkerman

Casper’s wife and the bedrock of his world. Zoe has been on the scene for several years and knows the sacrifices needed for her husband to remain competitive. Zoe is always ready with a sympathetic ear and kind word, no matter where her husband is in the world. Mother to a young daughter, Lily, Zoe is the only person who knows the demons Casper faces competing against the next generation of drivers bursting onto the scene.

Braking Point provides a new narrative mode alongside a host of F1® 2021 gameplay innovations. The two-player Career feature allows players to join forces or race competitively with rival teams in synchronous sessions. Real-Season Start enables players to jump in at any point in the calendar that has already occurred with up-to-date standings. F1® 2021 also has a host of returning options, including My Team, two-player split-screen, and various assist settings that allow players of all abilities to come together and compete.

Launching on July 16 and published by EA SPORTS, F1® 2021 debuts on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation®5, alongside Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam. The digital Deluxe Edition is also available from July 13 with additional content, including seven iconic drivers for use in F1® 2021’s My Team mode.

Every story has a beginning

The first stop is Braking Point, F1® 2021's story experience. Start with one of five teams and rise from the ranks of F2™ to the heights of F1®. Immerse yourself in a combination of on and off tracks moments through three seasons, with a mix of racing action and dramatic cutscenes. Compete against the current Formula 1® line-up and make a name for yourself against a new cast, and the familiar face of Devon Butler. Be prepared for some twists and turns, though we'll let you find those out for yourself!



Two-Player Career

We've added a brand-new way to play with our two-player Career mode: whether you want to work together and play cooperatively or compete against each other, with contract offers and team switches available, the choice is yours. Two-player split-screen makes its return to F1® 2021, for those of you wanting to challenge your friends, siblings, and rivals on your couch.

My Team is also available if you want to be the 11th team and take on the rest of the grid on your own terms.



Real-Season Start

F1® 2021's 'Real-Season Start' feature lets you jump into this season's action, reflecting the live standings, and take over and drive the remaining races. Great for players who want to align with the real-world season.



New Season Driver Stats

F1® 2020 introduced driver stats and a driver market to the franchise. With these, you could compare F1® and F2™ drivers based on Experience, Racecraft, Awareness, Pace and Overall Rating. This year, we're expanding both the stats, with a new Focus attribute, and market, adding seven iconic drivers included in the digital Deluxe Edition. That's not to mention that the stats will be updated throughout the season, giving you plenty of reasons to check in on how your teammate (or favourite) is doing.



More Accessible Racing

Whether you're a seasoned veteran or new to the Formula 1® game, we've got more options than ever with F1® 2021's Casual, Standard or Expert game modes. If you've never played an F1® game before, Casual mode could be for you, with simplified menus and setup wizards in place to help you get the best out of your experience. For those of you who have won a number of virtual world championships in your time, 'Expert' will be an excellent place for you to start your F1® 2021 journey, with a highly customisable experience. Tweak your career exactly how you want it, with lots of in-depth settings you’ll love to experiment with, such as turning car faults on and off.



The Next Generation

F1® 2021 is the first game released on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, alongside Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam. Taking advantage of the new hardware, F1® 2021 delivers all these features with a stunning graphical uplift, better loading times, improved force feedback, and a much more detailed damage model.

Who will you choose in F1® 2021 Seven iconic drivers. Five World Champions, with a staggering 16 championships between them. It’s time to introduce the carefully crafted roster of drivers who are part of the F1® 2021 digital Deluxe content for My Team and give you a closer look at their in-game driver stats.

Iconic drivers

• Michael Schumacher

According to the statistics, Michael Schumacher was the greatest F1® driver of all time, prior to the 2020 season. A stunning 91 wins in 308 races, and seven World Championships to his name, a feat that’s only just been equalled last season by Lewis Hamilton. Michael’s biggest success came at Ferrari, where he’d been hand-picked to drive the team to success, winning five consecutive titles with the team from 2000 – 2004.

• Ayrton Senna 

Ayrton Senna: truly one of the all-time greats of Formula 1®. A prodigy in his karting and early open-wheel career, he started in F1® in 1984 at Toleman-Hart and began scoring points in his first season. He took 41 wins, 65 pole positions, including that incredible 1988 lap of Monaco, and three World Championships, all of which were won in partnership with McLaren.

 

• Alain Prost 

Alain Prost was given the moniker of ‘The Professor’ due to his strategic and intellectual style of racing. Debuting at McLaren in 1980, his career stats are formidable: 51 wins, 41 fastest laps and four World Championships. He took his first World Championship in his second stint at McLaren in 1984, then again in 1986 and 1989, in a fierce intra-team rivalry with Ayrton Senna. He’d take his last championship in 1993 with Williams before retiring at the end of the season.

 

• Jenson Button 

Starting his career at Williams in 2000 as the then youngest F1® driver ever, Jenson Button would go on to take 15 wins, eight pole positions, and win his World Championship in 2009, in Brawn GP’s first and only season in Formula 1^®.  Button moved to McLaren in 2010, where he partnered with a young Lewis Hamilton.


 

• Nico Rosberg

The son of 1982 World Champion Keke Rosberg, Nico started his Formula 1^® career at Williams in 2006. He moved to Mercedes in 2010 to race alongside Michael Schumacher until pairing with Lewis Hamilton in 2013. In 2016, he won the World Championship, beating his teammate, Lewis Hamilton, and winning nine of the 21 races of that season.

 

• David Coulthard

One of the most successful British drivers in F1® racing history, David Coulthard, or DC, as he’s more commonly known, raced 15 seasons in Formula 1®, before retiring in 2008. He secured 13 wins and 62 podium finishes during his lengthy career, coming second to Michael Schumacher in the 2001 World Championship.

  

• Felipe Massa

Making his debut in 2002 with Sauber, Felipe Massa would go on to take 11 race wins, 41 podiums, and came second to Lewis Hamilton in the 2008 season, famously losing out by just one point. Massa scored his first F1® victory at the 2006 Turkish Grand Prix and showed off his overtaking ability with multiple drives through the field that season, culminating in a win at the Brazilian Grand Prix

 
The seven Icons have been added to the driver market, all ready for you to hire. If you can meet their expectations and salary requirements, they are available to join your team, allowing you to create the greatest My Team ever.


 
My Team


 
Take team owner and lead driver roles in My Team, our driver-manager feature. First introduced in F1® 2020, it allows you to create a new Formula 1^® team and take your place alongside the established 2021 driver line-up. From choosing your livery, engine supplier to hiring a teammate from F1®, F2™ or one of the seven driver Icons above, you’ll be able to take control and go for glory.


 
Digital Deluxe


F1® 2021’s digital Deluxe doesn’t just feature the seven iconic drivers, though. It includes a set of customisation items, 18,000 PitCoin, an in-game item pack inspired by the fictional stars of Braking Point (which we’ll be revealing more about very soon) and three days early access.


 
F1® 2021 also comes as a Standard edition, with the Braking Point content and 5,000 PitCoin.
