This patch mainly fixes the Unity security vulnerability that was disclosed today but also contains some other improvements/fixes.

• Fix for CVE-2025-59489, a security vulnerability affecting all Unity-based games[unity.com]. VTube Studio now uses Unity 6000.0.58f2 and is not affected.

• Increased maximum VNet model/asset size from 300 to 320 MB to accommodate certain bigger models.

• Fix for issue that made VTube Studio freeze intermittently every few seconds/minutes for some users.

• Various improvements of per-frame memory usage. Should improve performance especially for larger models.

• VTube Studio now automatically makes sure the window cannot be smaller than a certain threshold. This change was made to fix a bug where VTube Studio could become a 1x1 pixel window and crash on startup.

• Fixed bug in animation system that caused glitching when using Live2D "inverse step" keyframes in animations.

Finally, this update adds back the manual key selector when setting up hotkeys. You can manually select keys from a list by clicking the pencil button here:

Have you been getting crashes after the last update?

It's most likely because you don't have the most recent "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable" installed.
From now on, VTube Studio will automatically install it when updating.

But if you are getting crashes right now, please install it manually for now:

This small patch (1.32.3) fixes some bugs introduced by the previous update, adds one new asset and slightly re-adjusts the watermark coverage.

• Fixed a bug where items loaded from item scenes during collabs would mistakenly get attached to your collab guests if their models contained the same ArtMesh IDs as your own model.

• Fixed a bug where locked and pinned items would very slowly move upwards.

• Adjusted watermark coverage from ~70% to exactly 50% to precisely match the updated Live2D SDK free version license requirements. The initial increase was meant to comply with Live2D's recently updated licensing policy, which now requires at least 50% horizontal coverage (and at least 20% vertical coverage). We overshot a bit to be safe, but based on feedback, we’ve fine-tuned it to match the required amount more closely.

Finally, one more split Live2D model asset[github.com] by @7MC_Official[x.com] was added: a cute swim ring (called "Swimming Tube \[@7MC_Official]" in VTube Studio). Didn't quite make it for the initial release, but it's done now!!

The first big new feature is Split Live2D items!! You can have split Live2D items now with a front and back part, so they're wrapping around the main model and make it look like you're really wearing the item.

Internally this works by splitting the Live2D item at a certain layer into a front/back part and then setting orders within the main model for those parts separately.

VTube Studio comes with a few items that already have this set up so you can play around with them. But, you can also easily set this up for your own Live2D items.

Next, you can now pin stuff to other people during collabs or take their items now. This also works with the split Live2D items. Not much else to explain here. People requested this one a lot!

Also, there are new expression parameter modes! When you create an expression, you can now select between "overwrite" (standard), "add" and "multiply".

"Add" just adds a static value to that parameter at the end (after tracking) and "Multiply" multiplies the Live2D parameter by the set value. The value can also be negative, so you can do a lot of interesting stuff with it, like having hotkeys that invert the tracking.

Oh and there's mocopi tracking in VTube Studio now!!??! It's a bit crazy to use that in 2D models, but the Sony mocopi team reached out and asked if it could be added. They even made a really pretty example model you can use for free.

There's even more stuff:

• You can now turn expressions on/off WITHOUT making hotkeys for them.

• You can now create expressions and expression hotkeys for items super easily.

• You can now set ArtMesh recolors for items directly.

• You can set fixed positions for VNet collab participants (who's in front).

• VNet collab guest model positions will now be remembered when guests leave and re-join (if you control their positions).

• There's now detailed upload/download statistics so you can see how far along VNet model upload/downloads are (can sometimes be useful when models take long to upload).

• "Alt" is supported as a hotkey now.

• You can now turn on pin notifications that show you exactly which layer in your model items pin to.

• You can set items to only pin to one specific layer in your model. Useful to actually get those hats to pin to your head and not some weird hair overlay layer (though that can look pretty funny too).

And then there's some more stuff and a bunch of bugfixes.
