Today’s update for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered contains various optimizations and fixes. We’ve made CPU performance improvements for ray-tracing, and made performance and stability improvements for ray-tracing on AMD GPUs.

Intel Xe Super Sampling has been updated to version 1.2, with support for dynamic resolution scaling. This update also tweaks the launcher interface to fit better on low resolutions or high DPI scaling screens. See the patch notes below for more details on changes in this update.

This update contains a fix for an issue that was introduced in a patch we released earlier this month. Changes made in that version prevented the voice-over language from changing correctly for some users on Steam. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Today we are releasing an update for Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered with improved Bluetooth support for Sony PlayStation DualShock and DualSense controllers. Adaptive trigger feedback on DualSense controllers is now available when using Steam Input. To use the full range of DualSense features, including the controller speaker and haptic feedback, a wired USB connection is required.

This update also finetunes optimizations for some Intel CPUs and we have updated the game to use Intel Xe Super Sampling version 1.1.

Hey everyone,

This update for Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered contains various optimizations and fixes, based on player feedback. We have made changes to improve CPU performance on both Intel Core and AMD Ryzen processors with high physical core counts. This affects AMD Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 9 processors and Intel Core i7 and i9 processors (11th generation and older). We made specific changes to how the game uses the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X and Ryzen 9 7900X processors, to improve performance on systems with these new CPUs.

This patch also includes a change to prevent the game from temporarily freezing while loading textures on certain systems. This behavior could occur at low frame rates in the last two versions of the game. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

We have also fixed a buffer overflow, aimed at addressing crashes to desktop that could occur for some players on Windows 11 systems after loading a save game or retrying a challenge.

Shortly after the launch of this update we temporarily halted the rollout, due to a false positive with Windows Defender for some users. We have resolved the issue and the update is available again. This patch for Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered contains primarily stability improvements. We have been monitoring game stability based on reports coming in and have identified a number of problems which this patch will address. There are a few other smaller updates including some extra improvements for ultra-wide support in here as well.

• Fixes for a variety of stability improvements based on your reports.
  
• Fixed an issue where the sides of the screen could incorrectly be blurred when using 32:9 aspect ratio.
  
• Fixed an issue where radio waveforms would not always render in the correct location when using wide aspect ratios.

This patch for Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered contains a couple of new features and bugfixes. We have enabled NVIDIA Reflex for all GPUs that support this feature. The Display menu now contains a Contrast slider that you can use to tune the contrast of the game to taste. We have also added a HDR Paper White slider, so you can finetune HDR settings. With this update we also address visual issues with shadows and sunlight that could occur on certain AMD GPUs.

We improved the way the game handles actions that require two controller buttons to be pressed at the same time, like Finishers. This change is made to address reports from players about Finishers not being triggered instantly. We have not been able to reproduce this issue, but we already have implemented the change in Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and we believe this will result in improvements in Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered. If you experienced issues with Finishers before, please let us know if this update is an improvement.

• Added NVIDIA Reflex support for all compatible GPUs.
