This new update is part of our development of the major content addition coming later this year with the release of Space Hulk: Deathwing on consoles - free on PC.

Today, we introduce the Interrogator-Chaplain Class to Space Hulk: Deathwing, the sixth class!

• New Class Integration: The Interrogator Chaplain
  The Chaplain can carry the Crozius Arcanum and brings new diversity to the Multiplayer and Special Missions Game Modes.
  He has the unique ability to recall all allies, or protect them for a short time.
  
• New Weapons (Stormbolter MK2, Purgatory Sword).
  
• Psygate System has been overhauled: you can now only open a portal to the psygate when you successfully achieve an objective. Works in both solo and multiplayer. You can no longer open psygate at will except during the solo campaign.
  
• Changes to Solo Special Missions: you now play as a specialised class in Special Missions - each class now has its own niche, instead of being a jack of all trades. This was made to make the mode more similar to multiplayer and in preparation for the customisation system.

• We are having positive results with XB1 controllers, but we do appear to be having issues with PS4 controllers. We would greatly appreciate feedback based on PS4 controllers being used in Big Picture mode.

• Entering a lobby without codex rules, then going into solo special missions limits the number of weapons you can access.
  
• Server maps are not displayed.
  
• Your equipment is not reset when going from one SM to another, or when going to a new multiplayer game
  
• Obsolete servers will take some extra time to disappear from the list
  
• In solo SM, the score screen displays wrong information
  
• There’s a crash if you afk in the main menu

Before posting your feedback, please read the known issues list carefully.

In order to help us to locate and fix bugs, please include the dump files and DxDiag in your report. Try to give us as much details as possible about the issue and what you were doing when it happened. Screenshots are also welcome.

• Dump files - first, you must enable the visibility of “Hidden Folders” in your Windows settings. You can find how to do it on Google. Then, go to "C:\Users\CURRENTUSER\AppData\Local\SpaceHulkGame\Saved\Logs" (replace "currentuser" by your User Name on your computer). If you crashed, the game automatically creates a folder that you can compress into a .zip (or .rar) file and attach in your post.
  
• DxDiag - Press the WINDOWS key (bottom left), then type DXDIAG in the Search Bar and click on the corresponding program. A diagnosis will be executed then. After it's done, click on "Save all information" and save the DxDiag as text file (.txt).
  After this, all you need to do is to compress them into a zip file (with the Dump files) and attach it to your post here with a detailed description of your crash.

This update adds exciting new content and features for players who dare enter the Genestealer-infested Space Hulk – all of which will be included in a series of free content updates for PC players.

Today's patch focuses on additional gameplay variety, as well as fully introducing the Special Missions mode to singleplayer and multiplayer.

Special Missions bring a new level of uncertainty for even the most hardened Terminator squads. Starting a chapter will generate a randomised sequence of missions and Genestealer spawns for a truly unpredictable challenge.

Here are today's patch notes:


Full Special Missions feature released in both single and multiplayer

• All 7 chapters playable.
  
• All the content can be accessed in single-player (from the main menu) and multiplayer (through a lobby).
  
• You unlock the special missions in singleplayer after completing the chapter in the solo campaign. For example if your most advanced save is in chapter 7, you will have access to single-player special missions from Chapter 1 to 6.
  
• If you no longer have your save file or haven’t finished the campaign, but would like to try the new game modes in singleplayer, you'll find HERE[cdn.focus-home.com] a file unlocking all special missions. Put the file in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\SpaceHulkGame\Saved\SaveGames

Proximity Mine

• Places an explosive proximity mine.
  
• Heavy Weapon Skill

Skull Drone
• Summons a combat drone to temporarily fight at your side.

Frenzy
• Briefly increases your melee attack speed.

• Briefly increases your weapon's rate of fire.

• The limitation on classes in multiplayer has now been removed.

• Motion blur is now working properly for all hardware.
  
• Fixed many issues when joining a game where all the others players were dead. This includes graphical glitches resolutions, overlapping menus and a possible block.
  
• Fixed an issue where a widget would appear repeatedly.
  
• Fixed a block at the end of chapter 6 where a player was teleported inside the last room at the end of a multiplayer game.
  
• A few rare random crashes have been resolved.
  
• Fixed GUI issues during certain objectives when joining a multiplayer game.
  
• Fixed a possible overlap with the armory HUD in a multiplayer game or when spectating through the death camera.
  
• Fixed a couple of minor issues in Chapter 1 Special Missions.

• Rare DirectX crash
  
• If you try to join a full server, you will be connected to a different one with an available spot instead.
  
• It is possible for the inventory menu in multiplayer to overlap with the game and create an unplayable state.

This edition will add exciting new content and features for players who dare enter the Genestealer-infested Space Hulk – all of which will be included in a series of free content updates for PC players.

This latest patch focuses on more gameplay variety by introducing the Special Missions game mode to multiplayer.

Special Missions, which have been added to Chapter 1 but are coming later to every chapter in the game, bring a new level of uncertainty for even the most hardened Terminator squads. After the last update focused on technical fixes and performance improvement, we're now focused on improving gameplay and content based on your feedback since launch - replay value and multiplayer long term progression are our main priorities.

Update 5 features a new game mode called Special Missions. Played in the existing maps, players must successfully achieve different objectives randomly chosen.

This new mode is available on the SM_Chapter_01, in the multiplayer lobby menu. It will be available on other maps later.

We’d like you to try it out and give your feedback if you find any technical issue and what you think about this new mode.
