Kinda Disappointed
Looks like every next Pathologic is a more streamlined, poorer version of the original.

Like the inventory system.

The inventory in Pathologic 2 was great. In Pathologic 3 they streamlined it. You no longer need to think about how you arrange items, for the max capacity (like a Tetris game), now is it just so boring and basic.

Honestly, if the game will press you on time again, is probably better for the inventory to be like this instead of how it was on Pathologic 2.
Always was annoying when you had a billion things to do, few time and you needed to waste quite a lot of said time organizing your inventory/compartments.

Also, I don't think someone can make a legit case that 2 is a "poorer" version of the original. The game is better in... well, pretty much every single aspect. xD

I have things I don't like about the new game, but the lack of inventory tetris - seriously? It has never been a meaningful part of the game. There were no items in P2 that took special effort to fit. I guess it feels nice to arrange your things just right for easy access.

And Pathologic 1 had none of that. There your inventory was rudimentary, minimal, and essentially unlimited. Except for the few times when you got a quest key and had no more item type slots, then it softlocked your game.

What do you mean? There are other Pathologic games besides 1 and 2 that I'm not aware of? Because 2 was more complex than the Classic in every way. While you make it sound like it's the TES case.

P3 is obviously not that item centered since scavenging is no longer the focus of gameplay so I don't see an issue in cutting off old inventory system when we're getting new gameplay systems.
My only issue with P3's gameplay lies in how linear and boring dangerous districts were.
If we're talking about missing systems I'd love to see immunity and defense clothings systems make a comeback,

You did NOT just call patho 2 poorer than the original?? It tells the same strong storylines and has interesting new mechanics and graphics. Also I wouldn't call streamlining the original a bad thing since the original is often thought to be unreasonably punishing, although I do agree on liking the inventory management. Sad to hear they got rid of it

This kind of answers doesn´t help in anything in reality, but "thanks", I guess...

And how, exactly, does YOUR comment help anything or anybody? Besides being rude?
Well, I think the inventory system of P2 was pretty integral to the game, but mainly because Artemy is the main character. Of course we have to think about logistics: he's a surgeon living off nothing and constantly struggling to stay alive. He needs **stuff** and there are a whole host of issues that come with needing all that stuff that makes his campaign a unique challenge. But Daniil is a doctor and one of the most socially wealthy people in town. He has pretty stable housing and people that, in theory, want to protect him. You wouldn't expect him to need food or bandages to stay alive: you wouldn't even expect him to load his gun with bullets. *But* you might expect a frustrated doctor in a town he wants to save, that keeps fighting him every step of the way, that offers few joys and plenty of psychological distress, would need to be far more focused on moderating his emotions, the central mechanic his inventory revolves around. I really love the apathy/mania scale. I think it's pretty brilliant, and I think it just doesn't necessitate that robust *stuff*-based inventory system Artemy's story requires. Just my two cents.

But then, who am I? Am I the character? No, I'm not, because I *don't feel* manic from loud music, or apathetic from gun combat. Am I the character's nurse who is to make sure he takes the right pills at the right time?

There was all these memes about Artemy being a chad knife wielding badass and how Daniil is just a modern simp girly dude. It seems that meme was accurate. The writing in this game is absolutely great but I dont just want to go around having these deep mind ♥♥♥♥ conversations over and over. I want that stress anxiety inventory management survival experience.

I played Pathologic 2 three times in a row back to back ive never had an anxiety simulator that was accurate to the feelings I have in every day life. It was like my safe place like a home almost how it felt. Pathologic 3 is nothing like that it seems chill and sophisticated and not necessarily accessible but more forgiving I guess and more of a point and click reading game rather than an FPS action thriller stress maxx simulation.

I almost never say stuff like this, but I came here specifically to say that you don't understand Pathologic, got thoroughly filtered by it, and should honestly just play something else.

1. Pathologic 2 was expanded over the original in every way, nothing was streamlined, there were way more mechanics and the game was much harder, way more objectives and dialogues were added and the story was improved
2. This is an early demo showing only a few mechaninc of the game, we don't know how the inventory will look like in the full game, if you have concerns don't come out with meaningless criticism but actually tell the devs on here and in the survey what you want improved. We can already see for example that the thoughts system is expanded even further and is very complex even compared to Pathologic 2 and not even mentioning the original
