This tihs was crazy and took a while to do but ive got official trusted triggering server side for leader board support. now globally our kills will be tracked. This was very strategically crafted using dr.N0s MYSTERIOUS sLAUGHTER HOUSE HUB web hosting incorporating php to push trusted data a wild new implementation ive yet to dabble in. amidst this a new approach to a subtle blood mod on npc zombies is exposed as well. still further ado. this may need more testing and steam takes time to push data so its hard to tell in between testing things honestly. but i have enough confidence that ive pushed the update to default live so well see. till next time!

Within less than 1 week of core focus and determination dr.N0 was capable of learning and understanding the full works of the source sdkbase 2013 multiplayer infrastructure and fruition'd A Nights Haunting: Source.

On the 28th of October i was able to configure anh_killhaus and the ANH source dedicated server system to be early access released on Moddb.

By October 31st the game had been tested online and fully functioning ready for further developments as a whole into the community.

Its now been almost 2 years since this week of fruition, and here now on steam as a full release we celebrate the existence of steam and the source engine.

such an amazing era of software technology that has moved us forward into these generations afoot. There will never be an engine so powerful!

After a long journey of figuring out the complications between the client and the server sides of handling user data and steam achievements configurations ive finally wrapped up the entire list of active functioning achievements.

these achievements have been tested to be working to my knowledge.
outside confirmation is welcomed in the forums discussion boards.

these achievements should all work both locally on a client and online connected to a source dedicated server. the progressive stats are pushed back to steam and can be recorded over multiplayer game sessions.

theres still some work left to do however the entire system now at default holds a 100% completion standard to the default releases achievement list.

In this update i finally got around to fully grasping the marriage between the steamworks api sdk and the source sdk 2013 multiplayer mod. I established the steam_api.dll and configured the steam initialization process - gather user data - and push achievements data to the steam back end. This is currently a client side feature as server side triggers are still in the works. but this is a good beta to start with for a nights haunting source. until next time! to0dalLLo00

the marriage between local client achievement handling and online source dedicated server achievement handling to the steamworks back end has been finally completed. the core infrastructure for the achievements system is built and serves as an error free platform moving forward for both client and server sides of the game. the next update will bring the configurations and iterations needed to bring a complete list of achievements that can be 100% unlocked. this will push out in a few more coming days.

For a really good while ive been wanting to make killer crows so i finally got around to looking into it and beta blueprinting the approach. Ive reconfigured the npc_manhack for this.

These bloodletting babies will smell your freshflesh and bloodlines from a mile away. So be aware in the darkness as these killer crows will pleasantly pick you apart!

these models are all amazing but throughout need alot of work - these will help with triangulating the programming for delays damages ranges etc for each individual weapon as some of the weapon code types are sought after.

also to note with this update is that the npc_fastzombie no longer pounces the npc_fastzombie is strictly a running zombie now - though climbing mechanics etc may still effect - this is something also not quite finished yet - as i also look to hopefully add citizen model infrastructure to this - which will also hopefully allow varieties of fastzombie models like the npc_citizen does.
