Anyone else find the dugeons far too difficult?
So I am now in post game DLC, and just finished its final dungeon raid. And let me just say, I am glad I used a guide for most of the dungeons. They were far too out of my puzzling league to figure out. The first couple were realtively ok. But all the ones after? Oh gods some of the answers the puzzles expected were things I would never have thought to try XD. I found the grestest enjoyment doing the overworld (for lack of better words) quests and explorations, and partying up with Tronny and Emely, (and Emely and Shizu in post game!) and just killing stuff! Also the games overall story was just amazing!

I definitely got tripped up a couple of times, but the game follows a solid rule of every tool provided in a room has its use, you just sometimes have to think at how they're used from different perspectives. My only real complaint were those puzzles of timed action sequences where it was fairly obvious what you had to do, the challenge was having the dexterity necessary to pull it off correctly. Admittedly, they made those in the DLC a lot better by having them be smaller, but the one in the final dungeon of the main game was almost nightmarish in design.
Haha then there was the Final Temples Length! I frequently was like "It is STILL not over?!"

The dungeons are perfect.

I really enjoy this game's dungeons. I never felt like any of the puzzles were too difficult or unfair, and usually if I was stuck on one for a while I'd just experiment with how things interacted. The only puzzles I genuinely got annoyed with were the timed projectile puzzles, as those were moreso execution than actual puzzle solving, and having to redo the whole process if I messed something up was pretty obnoxious. I honestly don't remember too much of the final DLC dungeon, but I don't remember struggling too much with anything but the boss.

This. It's a game with puzzles and dungeons and we get plenty of both. I don't get the idea of playing a Zelda clone and then hating the dungeon content when you get to it.

Yup. Figuring out what to do is fun, but actually doing it can be excruciating. Go here and shoot this then jump there and switch to fire mode and shoot that then jump twice and switch to frost mode and freeze this thing and then jump over here and switch to fire mode and melt it back down then jump jump jump then turn off fire mode and bounce a shot off that pillar then jump on the platform and switch to shock mode and shoot here then switch to fire mode and shoot there then jump here then jump there then turn off fire mode and jump jump jump then angle a shot of that pillar WHOOPS you missed now go back and start all over again.

Totally ruined the game for me. I loved the RPG part of it but the puzzles? I'd rather go clean the bathroom then slog through all that.

This is a pretty great summary of what was not fun about the puzzles. It had less to do with knowledge or understanding and more to do with the tedious execution of some solutions.

Right? Even when I was using a guide I struggled with the execution of solving the puzzles and I even had the puzzle timer on the slowest setting!

can't you just slow down the puzzle in the option tho ?

for the most part yes. But apparently there are a few puzzles that you MUST do at full speed or their timing will not work. Thankfully there only one that I personally encoutered.
