A familiar air sweeps across the Far, Far Range, bringing with it a distant, twinkly glow and the sound of musical chimes across the furthest reaches of the world. There is a special warmth that can be felt in the hearts of all the Range’s inhabitants, and it can only mean one thing: the return of Wiggly Wonderland!

Welcome to Wiggly Wonderland Winter Holiday Event, 2021. Every day starting December 18, Ranchers can set out in search of the rare Twinkle Slime, surrounded by a trail of whimsical chimes that, when touched, create a unique musical experience. Run across a chime trail to play a fantastic tune. Collect them and rearrange them to create your own! By bursting the Twinkle Slime and collecting chimes, you can unlock 9 special instruments that can be programmed at your ranch to customize your melodies.

Take advantage of this event while it lasts, though: the Twinkle Slime only appears once a year and will be gone after December 30!


This month also brings Ranchers together in Discord (http://discord.gg/slimerancher) for our annual Slime Rancher Holiday Party! ⛄

We’re very excited to announce that we will be hosting a small digital community event on December 18th at 12 PM PST/ 2 PM CST/ 3 PM EST/ 8 PM GMT/ 9 PM CET right in Discord! 🎉🥳

Howdy Ranchers!

We have a small (but important) list of updates for Slime Rancher that we wanted to make you aware of! Please find below the release notes for version 1.4.4!

• Corrected a number of minor localization errors.
  
• Corrected handling of the virtual keyboard in Steam. The virtual keyboard is only meant to run in Big Picture mode. The game will no longer attempt to open the virtual keyboard if a player is using a gamepad and is not in Big Picture mode.
  
• Reduced some player log spam.
  
• Updated the support link on the main menu.
  
• Corrected a few 7Zee reward icons.
  
• Removed refresh rates from the resolution selection box in the Options menu. The Unity Player was ignoring the refresh rate. The game should run at the refresh rate assigned to the monitor in question by Windows.
  
• Fixed a bug that would prevent the vac from functioning properly in certain save files. Players who have saves where the vac does not appear to function should try opening those save files.
  
• Updated the calendar for Party Gordo and Wiggly Wonderland.
  
• Fixed a bug where vaccing items under certain conditions could "shrink" the item for the duration of the play session.
  
• Corrected an issue where water would "hide" some objects under the surface.
  
• Added a number of minor performance improvements, especially around physics and raycasting.
  
• Corrected the colliders around the deluxe coop to prevent players from getting stuck behind the coop's screen.
  
• Corrected a small set of cases where the game could get into a soft-locked state due to the Input Mode of the game becoming invalid.
  
• Updated the credits.

Don't forget, Wiggly Wonderland is right around the corner, which means the rare Twinkle Slime will be making an appearance every day between December 18-30! Be sure to check the Far, Far Range every day for a chance to collect chimes and instruments. Don't miss this holiday event!

We here at Monomi Park are thrilled to finally announce Slime Rancher 2, a true, next-gen sequel to the original and the start of a whole new adventure in the Slime Rancher universe!!!

We have been reading all of your emails, tweets, posts and messages asking us a big question: What’s next for Slime Rancher? And today, we’re finally able to share a glimpse of what we’ve been cooking up.

Slime Rancher 2 returns to the Far, Far Range and finds Beatrix LeBeau on unfamiliar shores across the Slime Sea on the mysterious Rainbow Island. The landscape of this island is painted in a prismatic array of ever-shifting colors, and its great expanses will put her adventurous spirit to the test, reuniting her with old friends along the way. With her faithful vacpack, plenty of grit, and a thirst for the unknown, Beatrix will establish a new refuge on Rainbow Island, uncover its mysteries, and advance slime science to new heights.

This announcement is a surreal moment for the entire Monomi Park team. Last year was incredibly difficult and sad in so many ways for all of us, and working on this project allowed us to focus on the future. Now that it's here, we can only hope that it brings you as much joy and excitement as it has for us. We want to thank everyone who has shared your brilliant fanart, words of encouragement, and enthusiastic questions because it told us to keep pushing through. There are simply no words for the gratitude we feel, and we are so happy to finally share this moment with you. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

Join us December 18-30 for a special holiday event- Wiggly Wonderland. Seek the mystical Twinkle Slime on the Far, Far Range and collect rare chimes.
