The title "Childhood's End" feels less like the end of childhood and more like a confession from those forced to leave it behind. The game feels like watching sadness quietly talk to itself over the crumpled remains of happiness.

One day, you might decide to give this series a shot. One day, you might see a clip of someone playing through one of the episodes, maybe it gets recommended to you, and you think "Hey this game looks crazy interesting, I'll give it a try".

I can guarantee you one thing: you will never be the same. Whatever your views on the world, humans, society, reality, creating, anything; they will all be challenged by Hello Charlotte, and its beautifully intertwined story. Sorry, slip of the tongue - stories. Please do give it a shot, you won't regret it.

Hello, Charlotte!

Wow. Um... I just finished my first playthrough of Hello Charlotte Episode 1-3 and... a part of me is questioning what I just played and a part of me is blown away. A sprawling surreal mind-bending story with great characters in a broken world... though I am still trying to understand the exact events of the story I know that this is probably one of the best games I've ever played. A huge recommendation. It follows a story of coming to terms with meaning in a meaningless world, trauma, mental illness, and in short this entire series is just one of the most beautiful works of art I have ever played.

Just note that this game series does have a lot of disturbing imagery and such, and references and depiction of suicide, murder, gods dying, the world being destroyed multiple times, etc.

But if you can handle that, this is an easy recommendation.

Hello Charlotte 3 hasn't fulfilled my expectations. I had in mind a lot of things that I've seen and heard from people about this game, things like: "the best indie" "best deuteragonist of all time" "one of the best characters oat", nothing of this is true, but hear me out, I am not hating the work, I am not hating any character, I'm mad about those people who overrate this game to universal levels. This doesn't mean that the game is bad tho, the game is fantastic, is completely amazing and I'm glad that I've played it, because it's amazing. It's a plot twist inside of a plot twist, all we see is an internal conflict of Charles, all these dimensional layers of conflicts, one on top of the other and so on continuously, Reflecting the character's psyche through the characters, the house, and everything inside, the complexity of this character is very high, and it's definitely a concept that I find fascinating, All of this makes Hello Charlotte 3 an impeccable game for the message it wants to convey about grief, inner conflicts, rejection, and connections, it's not a perfect game and the game tells you that directly, but it says thank u for still playing it, we can see the beauty in the imperfections, and that's everything in HC3, it's not a perfect work, nothing inside the game is perfect, but that's the point.
I love the social critics that involve this game, It's all a mix of escapism and contained madness until it explodes, and what I like most is that the player has an important role in the game. A truly important role inside the game, we are something, A spectator who monitors but never controls.
I have no more to say about this game,Charles' internal conflict is absolutely insane and one of the best I have ever seen in videogames for these types of videogames, such a complex mind that involves 5 GAMES.

Caps off the story well. Very much recommend the whole trilogy, not overly long and very cheap.

That's the type of game that you NEED to pay attetion to the story and the details. With the DLC we got some insights about what all that back truly means. Altought that game is crazy sometimes and brutal it's one of my favorites indie games.
