HiveMindUI Beta .63 (December 2015)
Alienware just released a new Beta for HiveMindUI for those that might be interested.

Some pretty good fixes including the Hotkeys and Created utility to address Save File location bug. It moves the save files from %SystemProfile% to %UserProfile%.

Going to be trying this out myself.

Hello,

For those with an Alienware Alpha and have gone away from our console interface, I want to enlist your help. We have a new version of HiveMind (Alpha UI) available but we need testers. If you are not using HiveMind you are actually perfect to test the software. If anyone is interested, please see the information below and consider giving it a spin!

Our HiveMind beta utility is done and ready for trials. This utility will add an additional line to your HOSTS file that will point to our development server hosting the beta build. The build number is .63. This will download all the fixes in .62 as well as a fix utility to address the save game issue found in .57.

We are looking for feedback and will check the community pages here for that feedback. If you run into a bug, please post to our github at http://www.github.com/alienwaresoftware

Release notes: The following issues were fixed in version .62 or .63.


* Created utility to address Save File location bug. It moves the save files from %SystemProfile% to %UserProfile%
* Can't successfully switch from another skin back to HiveMind Skin
* Hotkeys have stopped functioning (Github issue #7)
* Nvidia Shadow Play not working in Hivemind (Github issue #4)
* If Alienware Command Center not installed Console creation process will fail
* Apps fail to launch : Chrome, IE, GF
* Universal apps are not loading in Desktop mode until HiveMind is removed
* Can't reliably play all games
* Device Setting Menu appear in blank when loaded in a different skin
* Slow to load, fails to load
* Apps spinner fails to stop or go away
* Apps fail come into focus on first try
* Script failed when launching Programs and Steam
* SSD Boot Times are improved

Interesting, I may give it a try. I feel like I'm underutilizing my Alpha - might need to spruce it up a bit.

It appears that the .63 build out of beta is now live for all.

With our beta program going smoothly and no showstoppers found in the beta build, as of 12/8, we are going to push .63 to the general audience. .63 went live at 8am EST on 12/9. This is a very important update and all Alpha UI/HiveMind users should update to this build.
However, if you wish to wait, you can turn off automatic updates in Settings > Addons > Side Menu (Dpad Left) > Updates
We GREATLY appreciate all those who opted into beta. The program will continue with a new beta release some time early next year. You don't have to turn off the beta utility or anything to get version .63.
