If when you try to join the Taviana server you get stuck at a black screen that says "Setup Completed, Please Wait..." do the following.

Open your gear inventory and goto your flashlight and hit "Add to Toolbelt"

Now you will be in the debug volcano with no sound

Exit the volcano by running up and out of it

Taviana, in my opinion, is the greatest current DayZ map.

Schedule is as follows.
Server is based on the PST time zone.
These are the following restarts:
12AM, 3AM, 6AM, 9AM,12PM, 3PM, 6PM, 9PM PST

Upon every daytime restart, the server is based on a static time, which is 12:00PM. This means, the server, in daytime, will go from 12(restart) to 3(restart).

so, to clarify
At 6AM, 9AM,12PM, 3PM, 6PM, 9PM PST The game will be from 12AM to 3PM

At 12AM PST, the server will go from 5PM ingame, to 8PM.

At 3AM PST, the server will go from 8PM to 11PM

That is 18 hours of day light and 6 hours of night time, which I believe will be sufficient until I get some feedback.


On your ingame watches, the time to look out for is 3PM, 8PM, and 11PM.

Here are a few other things and tidbits about the system:

To build, just have the correct materials in your bag corresponding to a recipe. With a toolbox (and entrenching tool for certain structures;it will tell you if you do not have the correct tools) and the correct items in your bag, simply use a tank trap, sandbag, wire, or other buildable from your bag and it will show you a preview of the item. Then, either move (to stop the build) or stand still and it will finish the building.

You can remove buildings (going to adjust in a later edit)
It will show you a SLIGHT preview, and you can move to stop building. expect as I edit this further that structures will spawn in a more correct oreintation/distance. I just wanted to get this out so you guys could enjoy it.
Some models HOPEFULLY aren't, but might be banned. If you don't see a preview of the item, I would suggest not building that item and reporting that recipe/building and I'll check into it. Most of them I tested and they worked fine.
You need an entrenching tool, AND a toolbox to build. Removing a structure can break your toolbox/tools. You also need one buildable material (Metal Scrap, Tin Can, Mtn Dew, Wood Pile, Tank Trap, Wire, Sandbag)
You can't build on roads. I'll fix this later.
You CANNOT build infront of buildings or pre-existing structures. Each structure you build is tied to your guid. I will ban any players caught barricading simply to grief spawns. I don't mind barricading non-loot buildings, just don't let me catch you barricading ATC tower or etc.
