Discord is back online after a short, unexpected outage yesterday/this early morning. Other websites were also affected. CloudFlare issue, apparently.

As a reminder, our Steam chat serves as a backup should Discord go offline. Happens sometimes, ya know?

Title says it all. Y'all remember Steam's Discord attempt at text channels, etc? Ask for an invite if you would like to join.

Holdfast: Nations at War releases tomorrow on Steam @ around 8 PM CEST / 11 AM PST / 2 PM EST / 7 PM GMT

What is Holdfast: NaW, you may ask? A standalone new game that will be the spiritual successor to Mount & Blade: Warband's Napoleonic Wars DLC. Some of the same devs from the NW DLC have worked on this game. With naval combat on ships larger than a schooner, coastal sieges for land and sea combat, and of course the classic linebattle on the ground.

Ever since the game got past the now-defunct Steam Greenlight program, the game is in an early-access state, in pre-alpha, but the developers have been very responsive to feedback and open to keeping the community in the loop. For a small development team, the work done so far is impressive. Frequent dev blogs have been released leading up to the big moment of release. On the Holdfast forums it's not rare to see a developer respond to feedback or answer a question. Once the game is released on Steam, they will reveal their future development road map. Which includes the addition of cavalry, priotizing on the musket melee for a competitive aspect, and more content. With the hopes to establish a community around the game and ultimately a franchise.

This is a prime opportunity for the EQFL to take to the field once more for fun linebattles and a brand-new game shaped by community feedback.
