The Teacher rank on JA is a privilege granted to community members who have proven their jumping skills and comprehension/communication abilities to be sufficient at teaching new players.
However, Teachers must also follow a few guidelines listed here to remain eligible for the Teacher rank.

Teacher priorities are:

Help those in need.

Be a good example to the community.

Activity - Teachers should be active. We understand that there are things like school/work/family, which comes first, but when you accept this responsibility, you tell us that you have the time to be active and put some time into helping the community.

Civility - Teachers are required to be civil with all players in the Jump community. If a player is trolling, flaming, or pursuing other bad behavior, the teacher is expected to attempt to de-escalate the situation, and/or grab a mod. A teacher who is trolling, flaming, bullying or commiting other bad behavior will be swiftly demoted.

Attitude - Jump academy teachers should try to embody the spirit of Bob Ross: always teach with the utmost patience and grace; be wholesome. Always be kind to the members of the community, understand their frustrations but push them to become better and better. Teachers should be aware that bad behavior that they commit in other servers, games, or services such as harassment, doxxing, bullying, or anything illegal, may be punished with demotion/ban if severe enough.

Inspire - Teachers of Jump Academy: your job is to get players the skill they desire to become an excellent jumper, in whatever way they see fit, as long as we can provide the resources they need. We must create a environment for players to be able to learn without being harassed or anything of that sort, whilst giving them the tools to succeed. All while inspiring them to reach their goals.
