Crap, forgot a paragraph. This should be after 1st post:

The spy would have to shoot the loaf of bread (several times, not just once) from long range to destroy it (without setting it off), but he could only jump over the pieces of toast though without setting them off (stepping on one would decloak/unmask spy). Obviously, other classes could destroy loaf of bread too. Toast cannot be destroyed (not unlike a sticky grenade), but will disappear when used (stepped on by nme spy).

Here's an incentive, or two, for steam to do this. A) It balances out spy vs engineer, as you've made spy WAY too friggen powerful now with that triple jump and building devolver thing (why not just give the spy a red cape and paint a big friggen "S" on his chest already). B) You can sell more crap in your mannco store (i.e. Different types of bread bags, eg: Wheat bread, pumpernicle, or pieces of toast with butter or jam, burnt toast, or even bread boxes, etc, etc...).

For Mann vs Machine (Coop), you could have an upgrade for either the number of pieces of toast available, or number of loaves, or an effective range of the loaf multiplier, and/or loaf armor (bread box).

That's right, I don't just play Engineer, I'm one in real life too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.....

Here's a thought.. Pieces of toast are limited to how much bread is in a loaf (what is that like 15, 20 pieces?). The more toast you make, the less range your loaf has. So you'd basically have a choice of either using only the loaf, only toast, or a combination of the two. The loaf's bread would only be used up when toast is "actually placed" by engineer, and would return to loaf when stepped on by spy (eng would have to put another piece of toast out if he wanted it back there).

Would be neat to have a crunching toast sound when spy steps on toast, and have an eng taunt of "FRENCH TOAST!" that's available (for like 5~10 seconds) when that happens.

The loaf of bread's spy detection should be omni-directional, but must be in "line of site" to any nme spys (won't work if a wall, floor, or dispenser is between loaf and spy). Loaf can be put anywhere u can usually build, although it would be nice to be able to put it on walls like the spy detector in the ORIGINAL TF mod did. Pieces of toast can be put ANYWHERE u can walk.....

Hmm, Don't know how you'd make an "effective" weapon out of toast, but here's a better idea IMHO....

A bag of bread could be a "long range" spy detector (decloaks/unmasks spys), and individual pieces of toast (which you could throw around here & there) could be spy decloakers/unmaskers when a spy steps on one (like a short range spy detector). The loaf of bread would have to be by the dispencer (within its range) in order to make toast (maybe not on that one). Engineer would then get made toast from the dispenser, and toss it around in various places to uncloak/unmask spys.
