Today the Polish army and Ottoman voluteers sallied out to try and stop the russian siege, the result was a bloody battle, The poles lost their main army and the rest of voluteers. Now all they have left are raised levy defending the city

The 7th Life Guards defeated an Ottoman Army in Poland today and the Ottomans 3rd Prince was leading the battle and which he was later killed when a Rifleman shoot him in his neck. The ottoman army was destoryed and now i march towards Poland itself

It seems with the recent death of the Tsar and support of the Ottomans the Polish upstarts are gaining power and have created 3 full armys of mixed experiance. I request we attack the Poles and the Ottomans to cement our control in Poland

24th of July, 1880

It is disheartening to report that, His Imperial Majesty Tsar Alexis Alexandrovich Romanov, Emperor and Autocrat of all the Russias has died. The Tsar was meeting with regional leaders in Minsk to discuss the Polish situation and away in which to deal with it. The meeting ended with the situation still unressolved but all leaders and the Tsar in agreement that the Poles must be taught a lesson. While the Tsar was walking out of the Military HQ building in Minsk a crowd waited to meeting him, holding banners and cheering "Long Live the Tsar!" and Veterans going up to him and kissing his hand saying "We Love you, Little Father!" After walking past the crowds and shaking hands and meeting the people, the Tsar made his way to his carrige where a Polish Radical named Jozef Waldyslaw walked up to the Tsar and start speaking to him. The two men had a conversation about the situation in Poland and Waldyslaw became enraged when the Tsar said that the Poles will be taught a lesson for their treason. The Tsar began to walk away when Jozef Waldyslaw pulled a pistol and shot the Tsar in the back, the bullet going straight through his Heart. Imperial Guards wrestled Waldyslaw to the ground as the Tsar's advisers rushed him to the carrige which took him to an army hospital. The Tsar was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Due to the sudden and Tragic Death of the Tsar, his son Nikolai Alexandrovich Romanov will succeed him as Emperor and Autocrat of all the Russias. Based on Russia's line of sucession, this now makes Grand Duke Dimitriy Alexandrovich Romanov, Tsarevich and Heir to the Russian throne until Nikolai has a son.

The Tsar is Dead, Long Live the Tsar!
