Not living in MT currently, but born and raised there! Bozeman isn't big, but it's definitely unique! Great fishing, hunting, skiing (you're up in the mountains!). Montana State University is in Bozeman and offers a lot for a smaller college. Museum of the Rockies has one of the largest dinosaur exhibits in the world. You're a couple hours drive to Billings to the east, Missoula and Butte to the west, and south is Yellowstone National Park. Crime rate is far lower than CA, but be advised practically everyone there owns a gun (which is why).
