This is a fun and intense shooter that was clearly inspired by the Strike series from the 90s, I think it's a very good adaptation of the formula for 2025. The mechanics are simple and fun,

It's in early access and quite short, have yet to finish it, but there are only two missions left. Hopefully the next two episodes will be longer. But I can understand if one feels, the price is steep for this much playtime /content. Needs and Endless or Survival mode like yesterday.

Overall, I'm recommending it, while short unfortunately, the gameplay is fun and polished, the 90s over the top action movie atmosphere/silliness is on point.

The experience outweighs the downside. After all, I'm complaining about it being short because I want more of this. :)

Already 50 hours in, and having a blast. QoL is top notch, gameplay is satisfiyng and impactful. The first few days were quite rough I admit, but we got through it, and oh boy was it worth it.

There are occasional disconnects, or the lag sometimes and some occasional visual bugs, but I'm sure they'll iron them out.

At it's price point, this game is a must have for all fans of the genre.

I tried the f2p version due to a friend's recommendation for a co-op story experience, planning to purchase Forsaken as it was well received and deemed a good expansion based on community opinion. Unfortunately it won't happen, as this f2p model is more along the lines of free to try. It turns out you can play the fist mission of the paid expansions, which is fair, but it also turned out that many content and all of the free story campaigns were removed vaulted.

The fact that the removed content was once paid for is beyond me and I cannot and won't support such shameful business practices.

So what can you do as a f2p person? Go do Strike playlist, level up for seasonal rewards, and do some zones for faction rewards and bounties, or nightfall playlists that are the same as strikes but more challenging with multiple difficulties, and most likely you are unable to finish any of them using f2p gear. You can also pvp, but I'm not interested in that aspect, so can't really elaborate on that, however I would not be surprised if f2p players' only purpose would be to be farmed by paying customers, as they most likely would have relevant gear.

This is my impression of the f2p aspect of the game after 17 hours, I may be wrong, or missing something but this is not worthy of your time and effort as it is.

Environment is gorgeous, story is interesting and unexpected, modern day story feels a bit unfinished (not like a cliffhanger, as usual, just ends, most likely to give room for the upcoming DLCs), but overall a fun and entertaining game that makes you keep coming back.

As a fan since the first installment I have my gripes, but oh well. Overall recommended to long time fans and those new to the franchise.
