I want to like this game, Pandora looks absolutely amazing and though some people dislike the story, it feels like it belongs as a story in the Avatar universe.

My biggest issue is my PC is well above minimum spec but struggles to maintain a solid framerate even with FSR and FSR frame generation turned on. WIthout frame generation and no matter what FSR setting I select, the FPS constantly stutters between 30-70fps in the early levels of Pandora regardless of Low, Medium or High graphics settings. All raytracing settings are off. Turning to low gives about a 10fps improvement. Turning on Frame Generation raises that to 80-100FPS but anytime I turn my character the frame rate chops to around 50-60fps making it hard to enjoy the game. My PC is not thermal throttling so I guess I'll keep tweaking the graphics settings until I see a result.

I'd like to play the game further but cannot for the life of me time the parry and block actions fast enough for the first boss and die every time. FML

A single player game that requires internet in order to play. Straight to refund. I also cannot consciously support EA not crediting the original developers. Not to mention use of AI and removal of animations.

This is mainly for Steam Deck users as that is what I play on. I wanted something to take on the go and rFactor 2 was just too janky to setup properly. I can safely say works fine on Steam deck hitting a solid 60FPS* target on the default settings. It is Deck verified after all.

Controls: Using the Steam Decks built in controls, I spent some time tweaking the steering and throttle sensitivity to my liking though I am having trouble setting a good sensitivity level for steering without suddenly snapping towards the wall when doing a small input on the stick. I think with a bit more tweaking I'll have it just right.

UI: I recommend using the touch screen to navigate menus as the D-pad / Thumbsticks don't really work well here. Sometimes pressing Left did nothing (for example when selecting a car category). The UI can look a bit small in some areas but that is to be expected. There's everything you'd expect from a racing sim being able to adjust driver seat, camera FOV etc etc.

Graphics: Whilst hitting a solid 60FPS is achievable with a field of 20 cars, I set my Steam Deck to 45Hz for a more stable frame rate as there were some dips when there was a lot of action on track. Unfortunately rain also drops the frame rate from 60 to a choppy 30-40fps so may need to tweak graphic effects to smoothen that out should you race in wet weather.

Gameplay: Just about what you'd expect for a racing simulator. All the expected stuff is there. One thing I do like is the damage model and telementry from pit wall about said damage. Ai drive better than rFactor Ai which is nice and dialing in the Ai skill and aggression really delivers quite a nice competitive single player mode.

Not really sure what else to cover here, sounds are about what you'd expect for each car. Haven't tried the multiplayer but it does make for some good couch/bed racing sessions away from the desktop PC.

Farted so loud it came through the proximity chat and got me killed by the blind gunman. 100/10 recommend.

Keep trying to load into a race and the game crashes during the intro commentaries at most tracks I've tried to play. Conveniently over the refund time now (Only managed to do 5ish races taking about 30mins each)

Not sure if I'm the only one with the issue but even with a ryzen 3 5600 and an rx 7600 this game is fps lagging so hard its like a slideshow. This 25 year old game is not a remaster, just a re-release to make it compatible with modern operating systems so It's got me scratching my head. If anyone can solve this I'll happily swap to a positive review.

The AI in this game really bring the game down and the workshop doesn't work half the time so I can't try the AI bot fix mods. Shame really as the game could have been really good.

I raise my prices then don't lower them when their cost decreases. Just like a real supermarket! 100/10 realism out the gate.
