This game is actually really fun. You wouldn't expect it to be particularly fun outside of exploiting jank, like with Goat Simulator, but that's not what you'll get with this game. Starting out it can be difficult to figure out the weapon recoil and how the squirrel controls, but you get used to it pretty quickly. Plus, despite there being some jank in the game, it's mostly related to animations and not the gameplay itself, I've not once actually encountered a bug that prevented me from progressing or got me stuck, though that could change as I continue to play.

I really appreciate that you can redo all of the content in the game too without having to make a new save like in most games. All you do is reload your save and everything in the map is refreshed, but your progress is the same. The way it works reminds me of Super Mario 64 or Galaxy. I think the devs are actually pretty big nintendo fans, given the credits sequence as well. The Looney Toons-esque sense of humor is a great addition as well.

I'd recommend this game, I had a blast.

Holy cow is this a fun VR experience. I honestly wasn't expecting it to be as thorough as it was, nor did I expect the graphics to hold up as well as they did. I'm currently in Ravenholm and having a blast. Particularly the way that the VR interacts with the Gravity Gun makes it very fun to use.

There are a couple of glitches though, like the G-man intro. I understand why Alyx isn't looking down at you when she's introduced, it'd mess with your head and probably make you motion sick, but I figured it would've been possible to still have Gman appear in front of you, or at least be looking at you.

The other is just that the props seem to snap back to a certain angle when you let go of them, which makes it harder to play around with the physics and stack stuff. Not a major deal, but a lot of HL2's fun came from the physics engine. Hope it can be fixed if this still gets updated. Also if prop collision against the player could be disabled when they're picked up, like in other games and in HLA, that'd be nice. Sometimes when you're trying to carry around props they collide with you, so I have to hold my arms out pretty wide for the bigger props.

No complaints about anything else though. I like how the SMG requires you to hold it with both hands to aim it effectively, and I love the way you reload the revolver. Can't wait to see how the rest of the weapons operate as I continue playing.

Played through the game and it had a great story and great mechanics, The game might be fairly short and not as fun to replay as many other games but I think it was definitely worth the money I spent on it, you don't need a particularly expensive computer to run it either so all around pretty good.

Very underrated game, it's great because the game isn't built around the abilities like some games are it provides a story and proves to the player that you can still beat the game even without the abilities, both normally and clean hands/shadow playthroughs and it doesn't feel any more difficult than playing through the game normally, and not to mention the "play your way" aspect of the game is genius and I would love to see it used in more games instead of being a completely linear "no you have to complete the game is this particular way" above all I think that is what makes the game the most enjoyable and sets it apart from other games

With all the poor balancing decisions, bot infested casual servers, and general lack of official content. This is still my favorite multiplayer game ever, no question.

It's still so much fun to play, and if bots get on my nerves a bit too much I can just play on a community server. It's great. As much as I wish Valve would continue updating this game, even if only balancing patches, their dedication to community support will ensure this game has a long, long life.
