Lightfall's story is needlessly confusing, underwhelming and aggravating knowing the prior success, and expectations from Witch Queen. Noting the "development hell" lightfall went through and being esentially a buffer in-between WQ and the final shape, it explains the stories downfalls. But comparative to Witch Queen im having much more fun playing through other content other than the story. As I played through mostly the legendary campaign and then struggled to get through light hard cap due to pure unenjoyment with side content. Whilst Lightfalls has much more engaging content to play. Reaching neigh pinnacle cap, i feel like i can play this game for much longer than the month i played WQ for.

Always was a good game, multiplayer is depressing seeing as my time on record has been to queue for a match lmao. Wish they would fix it but I definitely recommend the campaign & zombies. Soild Chicago by Flipturn / Moving but The Happy Fits :)

LOR is a really good experience for litterally everyone as of right now. Being only 45 minutes long in run-time but having the added repeatability of having hundreds of options throughout the story to pick from. As somebody who over quarantine has very similar relationships, it really spoke to me personally. Hope the devs get the attention they deserve for the project :)

Early Access Review
Polygon is a generic FPS shooter taking heavy inspiration from AAA titles like Battlefield, COD, etc. The game play is like such anyways. Polygon is not a bad experience, but fails to innovate anywhere. If you asked me to point out a specific detail regarding Polygon I couldn't tell you other than the artsyle is a refined Phantom forces from Roblox. Hell even Battlefield 2042 might be hot garbage but at least it tried to have some sense of distinction, being a blend between modern and future. Whilst polygon is reminiscently of your good ol' MW3 days with updated graphics. An indie title has the chance to grasp at new experimental mechanics and innovations only limited by the scope of the development team. As AAA developers are limited by the meeting decisions and focus groups. Somehow you were unshackled by that responsibility but tied yourself to that chain anyways. Overall, I would recommend polygon to someone who is taking a break from the other shooters built from the same oatmeal with wood shavings sprinkled in.

Problem 1:
The amount of monetisation found in Polygon rivals the AAA market and even double that. With the inclusion of Battle passes, in-game credits, even a bloody Patreon. My background of personal game development doesn't extend far past solo to indie projects that many haven't even been published. So maybe take it with a grain of salt when I say that monetising a indie game to the point where my wallet could be taped to the damned monitor does not seem very "indie" to me. Since you can see my playtime i'm not going to sugarcoat how much THAT puts me off. i don't want to play a game that consciously decides to suck me dry for loose change. I would love to support the project as the game IS GOOD, there is no denying that. But why would I ever be compelled to spend money on this title if your actively pushing it instead of a mild suggestion.

Problem 2:
In November 2021 I ragged on Halo Infinite for a sloppy progression system. I felt unrewarded for playing the game and sinking time into it. Immediately after that video went live on my YT channel I uninstalled the game and haven't played a match since. Polygon's progression system is somehow even worse. Instead of unlocking weaponry after immediate promotion, the game requires that you go through multiple hoops to use a new weapon. Not only must you unlock the weapon through rank, but also remember to save your credits so you can buy the weapon. To put it as it is, this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. All this does is requires a time-sink for the player and there is nothing more frustrating than spending an eternity using the M4, I love the model, i love the gun, but I want to be able to experiment with other guns and kits and loadouts. Do not chain me down to a single weapon for too long, constantly giving new rewards to new players is like crack cocaine, you gotta give me a reason to get hooked. the method of "oh you have to wait until you're allowed to have fun" will ruin the foundation you have neatly set for polygon.

Conclusion:
Game gud, too much monetisation bad, unfulfilling to play sad. Now let me get back to my sawdust shavings, I'm hungry.

Halo Infinite is the best shooter you'll play this year that's new. Perfect sandbox, Decent maps, Amazing weapons, Great Graphics. Everything top to bottom, but the progression system is bad and the customisation has some problems. But as it seems 343i has intentions to fix that. So, pick up this game, you might not be rewarded for your efforts but that won't matter when you and the boys are having the time of your lives.

Could be updated to have some newer features that recent installments brought. Feels grindy, (for pushing buying shortcuts) but core gameplay loop is cool. Buy if you have previous expierence with battlefield games.
