Overall I felt this game was more of an interactive movie rather than a video game. I would certainly say that the story writing of this game was very good and really captured the true nature of the time. Along with beautiful graphics (when it wasn't giving me weird glitches) and the music, that's really all I can that's good about the game.

The variety of missions and game play was often repetitive, especially towards the end of the game (even chapter 13). With this being a linear game and not focusing on the free roam aspect, I really felt that lots more thought could have been put into providing a more interactive experience; not just a bunch of cut scenes and the same old, fight through enemies and kill the target.

The combat was restrictive as the weapon choice is minimal, most of the upgrades seemed to be more visual. However the cover system for me was working smoothly.

The value of dinary(money) was pointless as there wasn't much opportunity to actually spend it. Only when you suddenly bump into Pasquale's shop during a mission and even the upgrades didn't seem to have much of an impact. The collectables I feel are worthless as once you complete the game, what's the point of them as the "free roam" choice in the menu doesn't give you much to do other than go on a Sunday drive.

Overall the story is very good and enjoyed the aspect of "what's happening next?" or "this is how it ends", but ultimately for £44.99, this game is far too expensive for the amount of content you are getting. Having completed the story in 11 hours, I really felt there was so much more this game can offer. However felt that most modern games today focus too much on the cut scenes and making the graphics look realistic, rather than making the actual game play more enjoyable; a thing that older games from 15+ years ago really did well and very few modern games (i.e, RDR2).

I would recommend if you want to enjoy a story more but not at the £44.99 price tag. Half price is where I would have this valued at.

This game was a lot of fun (except obtaining 3 stars on every hospital) and is a fantastic revival of the previous game, Theme Hospital. The game looks great keeping that cartoony feel and runs smoothly; even when you have a full hospital. (I was running 30-40fps when my hospitals were fully roomed on ultra 4k). Listed below are some of the positives and improvements I have found with my time playing this game.

Positives

- Visually looks great
- Runs smooth with very little stuttering
- Very creative and comical animation of the various treatment and diagnoses rooms.
- Room creation is simple, providing a good selection of items to choose from (more can be unlocked whe you earn more kudosh)
- Training mode is very effective and good options to choose what staff specialize in.
- Good number of levels and varying difficulties

Some things I would like to see later.

- A custom hospital builder. Meaning you can create your own layouts, not using the default ones in sandbox.
Maybe.
- More control over vending machines. Meaning choosing what goes in there, either healthy or not and indvidually pricing them.
- A blueprint mode within the game where you can plan out where you want to place rooms before purchasing them. This is true when building a new room, but one where you can place markers etc, for forward planning.
- Control over radiators and air conditioners, applying how powerful they are.

Early Access Review
This Game Has Great Potential!

This game is so fun to play. I often play this game after I play a Competitive match and need a game to relax, and this game does that. Even though this game is in early access, this game has a very smooth interface with great graphics (I'm running a GTX1080) and provides a nice variety of themed courses. At the start, the power sensitivy may be fairly high for some users but thankfully can be turned down in the options menu. This game can go so far once the level editor is out creatng more levels, providing an endless expierience.

My only concern is the multiplayer mode, there should be a time based lobbies. At the moment, I can't play multiplayer with others for two reasons:

1. The host takes too long to start the match in an attempt to find a full lobby
2. The host is AFK and dosn't leave the lobby

The game is very fun and for the asking price, is a very good purchase.

7/10
