Very fun and easy to learn how to play, music and story are good too. Only thing I don't like are random server disconnects and losing my map instance. Other than that, it's a breath of fresh air from Path of Exile II and definitely worth playing!

Reeks of Dark Souls without having it's own identity. Slow paced stamina combat. Takes half second to raise shield, you need to block right before getting hit. You see the problem there? Not saying it's a bad game, but it doesn't seem great either. Put more on the table, and don't clone Dark Souls, spice combat up it's literally boring and way too slow paced. Game is also too dependent stamina, break the mold a little.

The ambient music on the island is putting me to sleep. There are seagulls floating in the air at the beginning of the island. The character heads don't match the color of the bodies or their proportion.

Please make a unique game, nobody wants a dark souls clone combat system with a dynamic camera that functions like a ARPG. Make it more like an actual ARPG hack-n-slash and not a damn Dark Souls clone.

There's some balance issues but it's playable. Most of the issues come with endgame features. Be aware you will have moments when you have to upgrade gear as it can become frustrating. Enemies and bosses can kill you with one hit but it's possible to learn patterns and adapt.

With a name like Battlefield 2042 you would expect weapons and vehicles to be futuristic but this is not the case. The physics engine is great, love how the environment is destructible but you know what's not great?! The vehicles and weapons are mediocre. What kind of stupid futuristic military vehicle (LATV) doesn't have a bullet proof windshield? The AA Rocket Launchers are wimpy pathetic excuses of a gadget just like the developer who made it. The controller snapbug and the lack of addressing the issue rubbed me the wrong way.

I don't appreciate the lack of creative vision as there's nothing futuristic about this game, it's lazy and part of me wants to look at the credits, call the project coordinator out and make an attempt at banning them from working on future Battlefield projects as well as the industry. These devs need to go back to COD if this is the best they can do, it's deceptive.

- Hate statically placed NPCs that stare into the ground for the entirety of the game. Inexcusable if not lazy.
(They could have walked around with an agenda based on the time system.) But okay people let's give this game 100/100? I don't think so..

- Should not have to look up a guide to find some poorly designed spells this early on in the game. Speaking of which, why can't the horse move while I'm casting?

- Why is there only one specific "Site of Grace" that I have to use to talk to the re-ta-rd character that's supposed to guide me?

- What kind of safe haven is the round table when people can invade and why do you have to jump through so many hoops to get poorly implemented spells. "Starlight" what is this pathetic excuse of a unbalanced game trying to compete with the Elder Scrolls. Can you imagine starting Oblivion without any form of guidance while requiring Players to jump through a bunch of hoops to unlock some mediocre spells?

What pisses me off the most about this game as a whole is not the fact that it's obnoxious like the people who created it with bad developer tastes but the people who can't handle critiquing this product properly.

"Ashes of War", "Sites of Grace" what a way to name a feature. This game has so many balancing problems it's way to tedious and does a very poor job of explaining itself.

When a game makes sense to the devs but not the consumers.. There are some aspects I like such as the atmosphere, but mechanically execution is shoddy and the people who keep praising this game need to quit sucking off the devs because there is a lot of problems that need to be addressed and for people to be acting like this game is perfect is beyond absurd.

Liked the scale of the battles but the classes are very unbalanced. The ground vehicle that hovers and looks like a wraith fires such a pitiful excuse of a projectile. It feels like Battlefield but with a weird learning curve as you get punished for trying new strategies. On the map, the symbols for the vehicle terminals are way to small.

Trying to be fair here, I like the game and dislike it at the same time. There's assets that are reminiscent of Halo, but it feels nothing like a Halo game as far as the weapons and gadgets are concerned.

There are some other factors that are impacting my opinion as well. The company who bought the rights to this game doesn't seem to maintain the IP. This game is using DirectX9.. If it was running on DirectX11 then the game engine wouldn't be as outdated. Instead the company who bought the rights is investing their funds into making a PlanetSide Battle Royal game. Splitting the Playerbase while people who don't pay for a premium pass have to wait in a queue? Doesn't seem like a good model.

Every map is a big open room except for Atlantis. The feel of the Pistol is terrible, it's just a pistol it doesn't need that much recoil (it's annoying to use compared to other weapons) and the Baseball Bat is a poor man's Plasma Sword as it tries to do this lock on/charge animation which is required to hit an enemy. I have watched my Baseball Bat swing through enemies and not hit because the animation is whack.

The most annoying factor is the maps themselves/ In the middle of fighting there is constant interference from every direction because of these stupidly open maps. I like this game and dislike it at the same time. The Map/Dev team needs to lake map lessons from other games.

I'll update my review when I see better maps, right now I'm annoyed with the mediocre design. Take Halo Reach for example, there is always a balance of rooms that are enclosed and open. Even Blood Gulch had some caves and hills you could take cover in.

Every time I get picked off cheaply in the middle of battle, and I mean every time.. I say "damn this map". Gets old really quick.

To be fair it's a decent free game with terrible maps. the ONI Sword Base Clone was okay though I'll give you guys some credit there. Don't mean to come off as rude but when you care about something and want to see it turn out better you have to call out the flaws and wow, those maps are way to open. I can go on and on about it.

Pretty good for a free game that I've played off and on these past few years.

Update : Played through coop without crashing, seems much more stable now. Balancing still needs adjustments in my opinion. Difficulty curve is sometimes crazy with challenges when you're just starting a run. If the Scientist Bosses existed in both modes it would have been better. When you beat the arcade mode it just feels like something is missing compared to 20XX. Hopefully endless becomes an option because I would like to see what the engine is capable of generating. Nina's weapon combinations are pretty sick, very nice feature! There was a glitch that occurred after I beat a coop run and went back to the lobby, my character was stuck in a infinite dash loop animation and was unable to use is primary sword attack but I'm sure restarting the game would correct it. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience, 8/10.
