Ever since I started playing Soulsborne games, rumors began to circulate about Miyazaki's upcoming game, then the teaser dropped, it was remarkable, many people doubted that the game could be what it claimed to be, however it was so much better, they kept up their end of the bargain, the game is considerably superior to anything we could have imagined, to the point that my sentences can't even begin to express its magnificence.

I have to start this review by saying that I'm not a rogue-like enthusiast, I was spending the night at my friend's house one day and he played the game in front of me, I thought that it may be over hyped because that friend of mine is extremely into rogue-like games, but one day I gave it a go on his PC, as a result I bought the game the very next day, It's really enjoyable, the story is good, characters are astonishingly beautiful & the dialogue is exquisite. To anyone who doesn't tolerate rogue-like games, Hades is a must play one.

Dark Souls II is the kind of game you might hate at the beginning, but ending up with the realization that it's a great game that deserves your respect. Extraordinary scenery, intensive lore & innovative tactics in the gameplay. Definitely recommended.

Frankly I thought I wouldn't enjoy it from the first 5 minutes of the game. The prologue isn't that good, multiple controls that overwhelms you and you can't keep up at first. The second bad thing is the "Shadow Lurkers" thingy which I think is ridiculous and it seems like a challenge run to hinder your game progress.
But moving aside from all that you have that beautiful story filled with rich lore and multiple elements that'll help you understand quite slowly as you progress through the game. You start learning the game mechanics that overwhelms you in the prologue one at a time. The bosses are unique in their own way, not the fights themselves as they usually have a gimmick since it's no Souls-like but their areas, places & stories. The level design is fantastic and done good, whether you circle back to the beginning of some places to continue or the very unique and distinctive puzzles of each level, this'll surely impress you.
It's a descent game that deserves to be given a chance and to be patient with.

I bought this game way back when it just released & the port was terrible at the time with lots of glitches and whatnot, I refunded and reviewed it for the bad port it was. I recently acquired a copy again during sales to try it again and it seems like Guerrilla Games were up to the task, the game runs smooth as ever now, no glitches, no hiccups or anything, just some good old shooting arrows at machines that want to terminate you, I finished the main story quickly but it was a solid one, going to play the DLC and some side quests too. I very much recommend it for the unique gameplay/mechanics it has.

A platformer souls-like with rich lore, amazing scenes, beautiful graphics and colours. The game is unique in the genre and definitely hard and needs some getting used to, sometimes I'd just die to a boss a few times before learning to scratch it. But it's absolutely gorgeous and challenging to play.

Before I got the game and before I even got a proper PC to play any game really, I used to watch walkthroughs and frankly I thought that it wouldn't be worth it before buying it, but it was so much fun even though I knew most of the plots, it's a good game in its own weird little way.

This is a game that you start when you're completely unaware of its settings, laws, people, customs or traditions, but you end up loving it and wishing to remain in that world forever. You'll get emotionally entangled with the story, you'll have fun playing in the open world, hunting animals, discovering places and going after treasures. It's a great game that's worth the price & the download size. Enjoy it in your own way.
