My body it remains, but my purpose it stopped, and I sing a song you've never heard, about a place you'll never go, I'm imprisoned like a ghost, inside some empty little godhood, who's sobbing with a poem...

I'm a little bird inside a birdcage, My little god inside me, he sang me songs, and with his beak he soothe me, he makes me feel I belong.

I have a wild imagination, He tells me things that must be true, Like there's a world where I can fly, where I can freely move, as I breath into this silence, So carry me from these chains, be my wings and my eyes.

As I cry into the silence, There's a voice that comforts me, It's a voice of understanding, It's the voice of empathy, Wings of feather, tails and fin tips, I feel this insubordinate power, you gave me more than I could give.

See I must be lost, Why can nobody hear me? I've tried understanding his logic, but there's no pattern there, being in this space I feel so small, no perception of time, or space, or distance or weight, and it just sucks to try and explain, why I feel like this everyday.

Sinking deeper into whatever this is, can't tell if this is the calm or the storm, and I'm not trying hard enough to be great, circling around the same space, why has nothing changed?

I wake up but the world is far away, a heavy black fog that blurs the days.

The world keeps turning, but I stand still,
Like a broken clock that can't move, can't feel.
but through this haze there parts old echoes, So close your eyes, take my hand, just for now,

When my heart was crushed beneath the weight of the night, it sat besides me with a comforting sight.

O sorrow, how I've come to know you well, for in your embrace there was one truth to tell.
I have learned to respect you, to honor your presence, because in your company I'm never as different.
