Let me begin by saying that I am generally a huge fan of Forza Motorsport and horizons games alike. I even enjoyed Forza 7 a fair amount, even though I think it was a downgrade from 6. The series as a whole has felt like it has been somehow getting more boring yet better in terms of gameplay?

This game however is this exception to that. I was so excited for this "ground up built" return to motorsport that I actually think I pre-ordered this game, however on release day, this game was damn near empty in regards to track selection, and a relatively average selection of vehicles.

- They said that they would gradually add tracks, but I can't see why this would take so long, it's been over a year and I think they've only just added bathurst? The game didn't even launch with the nurburgring... The selection of tracks are much more diverse on motorsport 6 and 7, to the point that I can't see how anybody at the company could have possibly thought that it was appropriate to release this game with significantly less content than previous games. IT'S A TRACK RACING GAME, THE TRACKS ARE ARGUABLY THE MOST IMPORTANT COMPONENT OF THE ENTIRE GAME! Having a wide variety of cars doesn't matter when you can't drive them anywhere???

- The vehicles feel like they drive very similarly to how they did in 7, which isn't a bad thing in my opinion, but the weather affects that they touted so heavily don't feel like anything new. The graphics have gone backwards and cars now visually appear more flat than they used to.

- Cars now have individual levels, which don't share across the same car, which means grinding, usually for a few hours, to modify your car as you see fit. Want to build an old dodge challenger into a drag car with an engine swap? Go race it around a track for 4 hours so that you can engine swap it... Want another version of the same challenger for something else? DO. IT. AGAIN.

I appreciate trying to do something new with the game, without attempted innovation, games stagnate and become bland. But this, this was not the right way to do it, matter of fact it's unbelievably frustrating and makes an already sub par game so much worse.

This game for me has been a massive, and unfortunately, continual disappointment. The lack of tracks and extremely slow pace at which they drip feed them in, cars requiring levels for upgrades, ect, just create a pile of aggravating reasons that I end up closing this game after no more than one race nowadays.

I don't recommend that anybody purchase this game anywhere near full price. I think there could still be some fun to be had, but you could go and buy Forza 7 (probably off some dodgy website or pirate it because they have ceased selling it through the Microsoft store) and have a significantly better time, albeit with slightly older cars.

**If the Devs read this review, please, for the love of god, continue to do what you're good at. Stop trying to make this game require so much of our time to enjoy, we don't want to drive a stock, rubbish car for hours on end, we don't want to have to open it every day otherwise we miss out on things. If you want people to spend a good amount of time in your game, or even if all you want is money, maybe just make the game good? The rest will follow suit, I don't know how many times these sort of games need to spectacularly fail before the businesses can see that it doesn't work? Unless you're trying to make bad games, in which case, keep doing this...**

Definately has potential to be a good game just needs some things fixed like walking around and the mouse disapearing when trying to craft other than that its pretty fun and im looking foward to see what they add.
