The first half to two thirds features a great build up. Unfortunately for me it did not go anywhere afterwards. I recognize that this is quite subjective, as the ending of this game was found to be a bit controversial on release.

In the game there are some beautiful visuals, well done voice acting and the walky talky game mechanics make this game feel quite unique. The odd pauses in voices, the unnatural taking turns in conversation; all of this suddenly makes sense if you use the a walky talky as medium.

Had 1 to 2 hours of fun with it, the last 1.5 hours or so were a bit of a let down. The lack of conclusions in the end doesn't help with this.

Fun game, but it has some very wonky controls and game mechanics out of the box. Every now and then things stop working, only to function again after meditating / fast travel / save load. The gameplay is not as accessible as it could be, some things are needlessly complex whilst others have considerably improved over the Witcher 2. Fun game if you're into fantasy and RPGs.

The game no longer has anti cheat permanently enabled for all modes. I can now play the singleplayer campaign again on my Linux PC. Thanks for removing the Denuvo Anti Cheat from the singleplayer campaign, I am once again receiving exactly what I paid for: an intense fast paced first person shooter that deserves a high place in the Doom series.

Play the game from your youth as you remember it? The Master Chief Collection executes this surprisingly well with the graphical upgrades of the Anniversary editions emulating the once vivid fantasy you had playing the originals. In here is something for everyone: the later Halo's for the younger people, the early Halo's for the older. Thankfully they did not change anything about the game mechanics, so you can see clearly experience and see the evolution of early 2000s FPS's into the early 2010s. I recommend it to anyone having fond memories of playing Halo on the Xbox.

If you enjoyed Duke Nukem 3D, Blood or Quake I: this will be very similar. It certainly does not try to innovate and you could fault it for that, but as a trip down memory lane it is well executed.

A few bugs remain, but the game is very atmospheric and has a distinct art style. If you liked Human Revolution then you will probably like Mankind Divided. Runs well on Linux too.

Episode 1 review
------------------
The game feels a lot like the original Life is Strange, which is good if you liked the previous installment. The story offers a surprising ammount of freedom to choose yourself, despite the protagonist (Chloe) being pretty.. well defined (♥♥♥♥ everything attitude, etc.). Throughout the first episode there was ample exploring to do, allowing you to use the gained knowledge or items to your advantage. The story is definitely trying to get going in this episode and perhaps it is trying to hard. It is my only complaint, the story is trying to advance pretty quick which may feel unnatural to the player.

Playtime for this episode was 3.5 hours for me, taking it easy, enjoying the music and exploring around. If you are a slow reader you will take longer, similarly, if you dislike reading then your playtime will be considerably slower (1.5 - 2 hours).

So if you like the previous LiS, enjoy exploring a world or just like interactive stories: this might a game for you. Try LiS Episode 1 (it is free) if you haven't and are considering to buy this game. The way you interact with the world is the same; talking with people, interacting with the environment and having a notebook. No magic powers in this game (yet) though.

Bought this game for PC after playing lots of it on console: the modding community on Nexus Mods seemed amazing. And it is! Nearly doubled my playtime in Skyrim, without total overhaul mods. I have approximately 100 mods installed, from fixes to small additions. This game would not be worth full price without the modding community, the fixes especially make your life easier.

- They removed the paid mods, yay. Thumbs back up for them.

Early Access Review
Borrows a lot from the iconic game DayZ, except the execution is somewhat disappointing. It seems to closely resemble a Minecraft mod with a very clumsy inventory system and needlessly complex controls (putting on clothes is a good example). If you want a good zombie survival experience I suggest you would try out DayZ; better graphics and more refined game mechanics.

But hey the game is free, try it out. I'm sure there are people who can enjoy this despite its lackings here and there.
