This is a very fun little game. It's basically just an idle clicker, but the loop is satisfying, the art is gorgeous and the music is good. If it were longer, I would play more. If it got new content that was paid, I would pay for it.

I really liked this game. I think, at first, I had a similar experience to a lot of the folks that have ever laid hands on. I loaded the game, wandered around and died in the first gunfight because I was so overwhelmed with the game's controls. I turned it off and uninstalled. It took me months to come back to the game after that first experience.

But when I did, I spent an hour or so just exploring the keybinds and reading through the PDA. Once I got a hang of how the game was designed, and what things were available to me. I really found myself immersed in the game and had an absolute blast exploring the Zone.

I finished the story, but I didn't get the 'real' ending. And that's okay with me. I'll probably come back someday now that I know there are multiple endings and take my time with it.

This is a game that doesn't hold your hand or take it easy on you, but it's a great time if you give it a proper chance.

If you liked Fallen Order, this is something you will like also. Think of each game as the season of a fantastic tv show with great characters, writing, and action. The story picks up a few years after the events of Fallen Order, and continues the story of Cal Kestis as he struggles to fight his inner demons and the Empire.

Gameplay is smoother and expanded on from the first game, and the power-fantasy of being a Jedi with all sorts of powers and tricks up your sleeve feels fantastic.

The graphics are incredible, from the environments and characters, to the weapons and particle effects.

Now a few caveats:

This game had an abysmal launch, and performance still leaves things to be desired. I played it on 1080p High settings, and never experienced any game breaking bugs, crashes, or super intense fps drops. But performance is inconsistent, and there are some areas where fps is noticeably lower than others. From what I can tell, performance at the time of this review is drastically improved when compared to launch.

If you're still hesitating, maybe wait for one more performance patch. But this is a game I would not recommend overlooking in the long term.

It's everything Larian excels at while being very respectful of D&D and the history of the series. Also this game is just so thirsty and I think that's funny.

It's like coming home. One of my favorite games ever. First played on a friend's Nintendo GameCube, I was able to pick it up later on the PlayStation 2, and beat it many, many times. Getting to dive back into it on PC at a beautiful 1080p and at 60fps is a wonderful experience. Best played with a controller.

It's a little sloppy but it's got heart. Best thing for it right now is a bigger player base to hopefully let the creators get more staff for NetCode and QoL stuff. The current game is like a tiny DayZ Epoch circa 2014.

Remedy came out swinging with this one. The atmosphere, the setting, the story, the protagonist, the combat -- it's all great. Wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did (and I loved Alan Wake) but this was an epic thrill ride from start to finish. I didn't want it to end and ended up hunting down all the achievements before I put it down.

It's one of those games you can always, always come back to. I first played Left 4 Dead 2 on the XBOX 360 what seems like a lifetime ago, and it was one of my early Steam purchases. With the Steam Deck being out now, I find myself playing again after years away from the game, and I'm reminded why it is the GOAT.

Edit: Haha zombie go boom

It's the Mass Effect trilogy in all its glory. It's famous for a reason. It's worth it. Just make sure you have 100GB of free space to install this monster.
