Possibly the worst tactical shooter on the market that was hyped up and sold as something that it isn't. There is no content. The content that is there is mind numbingly boring. The AI is atrocious. The visibility is a joke. The audio is some of the worst I've ever heard. There is nothing to this game.

Oblivion 7

This game is so boring it's quite honestly unbelievable. This is not only the worst Bethesda game I've ever played, but one of the worst open world RPGs I've ever played. There is no substance here whatsoever.

After playing the Talvisota campaign, this is genuinely the best set of missions I have played in a Men of War style game. The missions are interesting and engaging, while being set in beautiful Finnish terrains that have rarely been covered in video games at all.

While I am all for the inclusion of the major players in WWII, I am hoping these lesser known conflicts and nations should make their way into more DLCs and games in then future.

EDIT 2: 02/03/2025 This game has exploded in popularity but it is still not what it should be. Three years later, for $30, it is still bare bones even when compared to Arma 3's early launch. Not to mention, the game is unplayable nowadays due to server issues that have not gotten any better since the initial launch.

EDIT: After my initial refund, I purchased it again on 03/10/2024 and it is still terrible.

I understand that this is an early access tech demo of sorts, but for $30, this game is shockingly incomplete and as buggy as any other previous Bohemia Interactive game. Servers crash every five minutes and you can barely play the actual game, which just consists of the same infantry fights over and over again with the occasional BTR or HMMV sighting.

Arma 3 took a long time to develop into the content rich game that it is and I'm sure this will follow a similar route, but a tech demo like this shouldn't be $30, especially since the developers themselves claim that this is only a "stepping stone" to Arma 4.

I'm appalled by the fact that EA still charges $60 for these games. After a several year hiatus from this franchise, it is damn near identical to my last Madden game, Madden 15.

Paradox has learned absolutely nothing from their previous games, nor have they learned from their community constantly screaming at them to stop delivering games so streamlined and unfinished. Once again, this game was built as a foundation for future expansions and DLCs. That said, it is a bare-bones experience. There is nothing to do besides waging war with hundreds of other lifeless nations that contribute absolutely nothing to the game world.

Nothing happens. The game is boring and it is coupled with some of the most un-fun, ridiculous mechanics that destroy all sense of enjoyment that you can have in this game. Specifically, the loyalty and revolt system. There is hardly any indication of what is happening inside your own country and that is not where it ends. The UI is hands down, the worst UI I have ever seen in a Paradox game. The information you are given by the UI is the most minute and unimportant information you could possibly receive in this game. To find the actual important stuff, you have to navigate through ugly and convoluted menus to actually know what the ♥♥♥♥ is going in the game.

Does the game have potential? Yes. Will that potential come to fruition? After Hearts of Iron IV, that's gonna be a huge "no" from me. These games have stopped improving and they are very quickly losing all of the fun factor that they once had. These games have devolved from interesting and in-depth empire building and management, to nothing more than a map painter.
