Throwback to BF3 for me. So that's pretty good.

In my opinion: The greatest guitar learning tool.

To get started there are some things you need to do especially if you want it to work on a audio interface, which I would recommend. There are videos on Youtube for all the necessary setup for an audio interface and custom DLC. This game has a few quirks with working on newer systems, so beware.

I use this as a fun tool for both trying out songs, that I don't necessarily want to spend time actually learning and remembering, and fully learning songs. I recommend playing the game with the highest difficulty settings and then slowing down the song if it's too hard. The satisfaction of earning a higher percentage on a song you've been trying to master is great, for me it helps with one of the big hurdles of learning guitar, motivation. The gamification of guitar learning ended up being crucial for my own mastering of the instrument. I don't think I would have been able to spend as much time practicing a single riff, if I didn't do it using Rocksmith. The ability to slow down is really handy. (Note: the scaling of the speed ingame is exponential, so when the game says it is 90% speed it's closer to 75% and those last "10%" of speed can feel impossible sometimes. I recommend going up by 1% increments when you get to "90%" speed.)
