Early Access Review
Boggling this has such positive reviews. Controller and Wheel support is currently atrocious. Maybe on other wheels it works better but on my G920 it does not work at all.

Beside having no pre-set binds for the wheel and you have to do all of them yourself, the game then randomly forgets binds, inverts acceleration with braking, only recognizes the wheel turning left, etc.

Feels similarly bad on controller as well, as if the car was constantly on ice.

Maybe it'll be worth it once it's had more time to cook.

An actually boring game, that feels bad to play, and without any meaningful content and I'm saying this as someone who bought it on day one of its full release, partially driven by Wildstar nostalgia.

The initial pitch for the game does seem fun, Sea of Thieves in space - more or less. But the execution is truly bad, the time to kill for ships is inconsistent, the gunplay between characters is lopsided and frustrating, even the PVE aspects feel... unsatisfying.

Games end up being dictated by luck, hoping you get a broken weapon or upgrade early on, and there is almost zero chance to have a good game while playing with randoms, because of how critical coordination is in this game.

The new PVE modes added are also uninspired and generally boring. The challenge comes from the poor weapon handling and terrible combat system in general, rather than from any interesting dungeon or enemy design.

All in all just feels sad and kinda boring to play, there's absolutely no reason to buy this game unless it's free, and honestly even then, there's probably better games out there to play instead of this.

Early Access Review
For a game still in early access, there is a lot on offer from Enshrouded and almost all of it is good, high quality content.

The game is great and constantly giving you things to do and discover. The hand-crafted map (as opposed to procedurally generated) is huge and has a lot of secrets tucked away, with multiple biomes, that each feel unique and with their own challenges, enemies, unlocks, cosmetics, etc.

The building system is also very good, giving you a lot of prefab options, a huge variety of block types and furniture, and making it actually have value.

The combat is decent - it's good, but not excellent and is helped by a large selection of buffs and potions that you can make use of at any time to give yourself an advantage, but overall there is nothing wow about it.

And the best part is that there is still more to come - the devs have consistently put out quality udaptes and hotfixes that have improved the game constantly, and it seems they listen to player feedback, which means they are doing Early Access right.

Overall a great game, love it.

It's really hard to even call this one a game. This feels more like a proof of concept rather than an actual game. There's a lot of systems put into it that either don't function, don't make any sense, or are just plain bad and have no place in a game like this.

The RTS part lacks any sort of strategy. In fact, the only real command you can actually give your units is just MOVE, no attack, no cover, no formation, no attack move, nothing. It is incredibly bare bones.

The only real positives come from the First Person view, where I admit that using and controlling vehicles actually feels nice and responsive.

As it stands, I I would say that this game needs 2-3 more years to become something actually playable, but to be honest, it doesn't seem like the devs are working to improve game quality or making the campaign actually playable.

Didn't expect it, but it scratches an itch I didn't even knew I had. So far I haven;t encountered any major issues with the game and I'm just having fun.

Look, you don't really need this, not in such a complete game with so many options and modding support on top of that. But that's exactly why I'm more than willing to drop 3 euros now and again to support this masterpiece of a game.

It's not a perfect game, the AI cheating can be a bit unfun, some tomes of magic and some playstyles are clearly superior to others and the game is a bit samey in the first few turns.

All that being said, I really do appreciate the diversity and customization available, from creating your own race/culture, to customizing your leader, a lot of spell types, hero classes, race evolutions, etc. Together with the Pantheon system and realm-specific limits, world wonders, neutral units, city-states, it all makes a very enjoyable mix that ensure that no two campaigns are the same.

DLCs have also mostly been decent value, adding new cultures, leader types, skills etc, that have just added more variety on top of the already existing content and I hope they keep adding new things to the game.

Foundation has definitely come a long way over the years, and now it really feels like a great little game, that is just generally fun to play.

While it is a bit rough around the edges, with some bugs here and there, and a few systems that aren't immediately intuitive, it's overall fairly well-put together, with many systems that eventually build up to the same goals.

It's not a particularly difficult game, which for some might be a negative, but I personally enjoy its chill gameplay and calm progression.

And the biggest draw for me is the gridless building and the many customization options avaiblle for castles and manors, allowing you to build truly unique towns.

Maybe one of the worst shooters I've played in the last few years or ever, absolute garbage gunplay.

Going Medieval still has a lot to go before it is feature - complete, and there are some performance issues, especially as the game is simulating a lot of elements, but there is a lot here, and is very satisfying to watch your settlement grow slowly year-on-year. The gameplay has enough curveballs to keep you on edge, while simultaneously rewarding good planning and careful management of resources.
