I recommend this game only if you are a hard core, old school, masacist gamer because you will fail A LOT. It is insane how much luck is involved in succeeding at this game. Start on easy mode otherwise you might not want to play it ever again after your first 5 failed attempts, that is if you are as unlucky as I am.

Besides the massive amount of luck required to succeed there is a lot of enjoyment to be had when you do succeed and all the interesting things you can do with what you find and how you respond to situations. It can be very rewarding but I never beat the boss on anything other than easy and even then I found luck to be the defining ingrediant when fighting the boss. I had many battles where the boss couldn't kill me but I was unable to kill the boss and there is no time limit so I went to eat and ended the game when I got back.

TL;DR - it can be extremely frustrating but also rewarding. Unless you can tolerate failure you should not play this game, even on easy.
