There is a serious learning curve. It requires learning external software and a lot of time investment to create anything remotely good looking. I imagined whipping up models over the course of a couple hours but absolutely no, it requires a significant amount of time, time I just do not have as an adult. I also got motion sickness from using this simulator, and I don't normally get that. I'm really disappointed with how much the game does not deliver as baked-in.

Challenging, fun, and the great sequel to DS1 that DS2 never was.

It's fine, but it can get boring in parts. I think we all expected a lot more out of Bethesda which is unfortunate, because I think if the expectation had not been there, not as many of us would be disappointed. That being said, there is some focus on fighting spaceships and the controls for that are absolutely diabolical. And the game does not evoke any sense of wonder or excitement in me, like the following games did: Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout 4, Prey, The Evil Within, Dishonored... I think the game suffers because of the lack of vision and purposeful scope. There are many random moons to loot on, but they don't feel different from one another and it would have been more interesting to have less of those, and more effort into fleshing out planets with interesting side quests and areas. It was trying to balance realism (which is mundane) with fantastical (which seemed out of place). And though there were some cool side quests, many of them seemed lazy or incorporated too much space fighting with dreadful controls. Okay, maybe it isn't fine. I don't recommend this game unless it's on sale.

This game has me in a chokehold like Lady Gaga had me in 2009.

Recently this game has consumed me as it did when it initially came out and I played it on PS4. It's challenging, the skill trees are fun, and the level design and narrative are both great. I have no idea why people seem to skip over this game when they talk about Bethesda's works. This game deserves more attention. It's one of my favorites.
