Driving a bike around has never felt more relaxing, just cruising along the open road or through a forest is one of the greatest feelings ever. Unless you're chased by a massive Horde and faceplant straight into a tree, then it's less relaxing, probably.
Speaking of Hordes, they're scary and intimidating at first but once you get the gear to take them out, it all becomes a matter of keeping your distance and shoot.
As for story it's not terrible, it certainly dips in quality in the final act of the game and that terrible dread felt earlier, is gone for cheesy dialogue and cliché tropes.
Insane soldier leader guy hell-bent on war? Check. Wife who was told to be dead is not actually dead. Check. Rushed crazy predictable cult plot. Check.
Apart from that, most characters are well made and portrayed, not one major character I met is forgettable, even the morally unredeemable characters.

Overall, Days Gone is rough around the edges but there's certainly a lot things to like about it.

Go fast, kill fast and beat your previous score - it's a pure adrenaline rush. Great for stress relief.

It's a fun and colorful platformer with a lot of content, maybe too much and honestly sometimes feel like a chore to get through if you're a perfectionist.

A really neat take on dungeon crawling, instead of smashing your controller, you smash your keyboard while the Cryptmaster serves as your guide or more like moral support.

Underrated gem of a game where you kill, impale, mutilate, burn, blow up mutants and gangs, gory style together with your favorite robot friend.
And you can play as freaking Duke Nukem - hail to the King, baby.

Great concept, not so great execution. There's only so many times I can be jumpscared by the same enemy jumping at me behind a door, watch random bodies being flung around in an attempt to be scary and hearing the same dude laugh in my ear. Did I mention imps love to spawn behind you, like a lot?
On top of that, the BFG edition changed a lot of things, and had I known this before reaching the 20th level, I wouldn't have played this version.
Guns also feel very weak. You have to be one inch away from an enemy's head to 1 hit kill enemies with the super shotgun, for example. But grenades? Grenades have a life of their own, and a lot of times they probably will bounce back right in your face.
A horror DOOM sounded very interesting, but DOOM 3 is more of a comedy than anything. It looks fine, atmosphere is not too shabby.
Terrible at being scary, not too bad atmosphere and not much fun as a shooter, but If anything, DOOM 3 is consistent... in its own way.

Very solid and rewarding platformer, love how it controls. Also birb.

Now I know why Umbrella do what they do.

A bit rocky in terms of pacing and progression but the story and characters are top-notch. Gunplay is definitely a lot more fun than the first game, but it's still pretty tough.

It's more DOOM, in a different artsyle and honestly smoother level design... for part of it.
