This is so good. Highly recommend if you're one of the many who have been waiting ages for more content on the Half Life universe and story. I don't think there's another game (or franchise of anything) that draws me in and interests me more than the HL universe, and this pleases my appetite very well! It may not be canon technically, but it's close enough and it was intriguing and fun as hell.

It's not without flaws though. A lot of the time, the level design seemed very... Mid. I have to say though, the wintery outside levels were gorgeous and made really well. But a lot of the interior sections were underwhelming, lots of repeating textures, and sometimes made absolutely zero sense at all, when it comes to building design and cohesion, etc. Hallways leading to blank walls, rooms that exist in places that make no sense, etc. But again, these are tiny nitpicky things, the levels overall weren't bad. You'll be happy you played the game regardless, and it's free ffs.

The music is epic. Very rare do I actually care about downloading a game's soundtrack, and this one definitely is. Love it. Fight scenes are really epic too, tons of fun. Played on hard difficulty and it felt fair the whole time. The game got a bit 'meme-y' at some points, but it wasn't as annoying as Portal 2, and I thought they weren't out of place, I enjoyed it. It didn't hurt the game like it can and has in others I've played, I found it matched Valve with the way they do it, which is great!

Also Wilson is awesome, lol. No way in hell I was going to leave him behind, took him all the way to the end, and the game gives you 'breaks' from carrying him everywhere if you chose to, to make fight scenes engaging without being distracted trying to defend a robot. And by the way, it's worth it to carry him all the way. Trust me. I made multiple hard saves just to make sure I could go back in case he got destroyed or something.

There are some bugs but none that are out of the ordinary from a source engine game, so they're all minor annoyances and humorous, though when the dropship dropped the APC for me, it glitched out and went flying into the ground, up the building, and then into the sky. Had to find an old save because it kept doing it lol.

But yeah, fantastic experience overall. Highly recommend, and it's free so you don't have any excuses! Play it!

First, I should say that I'm a bit of a "newbie" when it comes to the world of Sam & Max. I basically started watching the classic cartoon, reading some of the old comics, and watching compilation videos on YouTube fairly recently... and I'm super obsessed! I absolutely adore Sam & Max... they've quickly become a hyperfixation of mine. I've known about them for a very long time but I've never really invested any time whatsoever into them or the series, at least until recent.

The game itself looks fantastic, has great audio quality, etc - these are all things I was concerned about when I considered playing the old games. I was unaware that they had remastered the first season, but man I'm so glad they did! Because, let's be honest... the old games look kind of terrible, and seem to be devoid of ambience or... sound, lol. Like, it's almost eerie. But hey, I won't deny that it was a good game. It just didn't age well, in my opinion. But the remaster is so great! I think they pulled off the characters and graphics so well, along with the music too. I was ecstatic to see that there was a team working on a new and modern remaster of such a fun, adorable, and entertaining series!

However, when it comes to changing and repairing things that didn't age well, this included some of the dialogue as well. I know a ton of people were uber-offended by the fact that they decided to remove/tweak some of the... more "yikes-ey", awkward jokes and gags, but for me, it doesn't really matter. I read about and watched the differences and personally I feel it's a welcome change. Like I get it, if you're a huge fan of an old series and the modern remaster modifies the original dialogue, I can see how it can be off-putting. But for me, changes like this, things like this, aren't exactly necessary but they're fine and appreciated in a way. I kind of thought that the whole anti-SJW craze died down some but leave it to gamers (lol) to obsess over silly nonsense like that. I'd like to bring up the voice actor change as well... I genuinely feel bad for the guy, since everyone seems to act like having him do-over Bosco caused the entire game to turn into trash and fail. Legit I had no idea that they changed the VA when I went into the game at first, and my impressions on all the voice actors were positive, including the new Bosco. He sounds great! I don't plan on getting the mod that replaces new Bosco with the old one. I dunno, maybe I don't get it because I didn't grow up on the classic TTG Sam & Max era, but to me it just seems like more manufactured outrage pandering towards the anti-SJW hardcore gamer crowd.

Honestly I feel like the majority of the outrage is just reactionary garbage, 100% predictable and pathetically on-cue. I read an article while researching what the newest SNM game was, and was instantly greeted with a piece describing the few tweaks done to the game's dialogue, and cue the violins! I chuckled to myself, scrolled down to the comments, and it was exactly what I expected it to be! Nothing but whining and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about "censorship", from the same crowd who undoubtedly ignore actual legal censorship issues happening all over the world right now. It's so incredibly ironic because even the folks who trash the new changes seem to be completely self-aware of how embarrassing and obnoxious they appear, making excuse after excuse saying things like "oh, well I'm not actually mad about the changes or voice actor swap, oh no! I'm just mad that..... uh, the devs weren't super transparent about it!" Like bruh as if you actually care about that kind of ♥♥♥♥. As if they're on the front lines of stopping the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ billions of trash garbage games on Steam that are literally designed to rip people off, scamming folks left and right with broken puzzle games featuring stolen hentai or vomit-inducing asset flips masquerading as a unique product. Lmao give me a break. It's like I said - it's just self-awareness - they know that they've become significantly worse and more annoying than the actual "SJWs" they claim to be against so they have to make an excuse to justify themselves and their behaviors. In fact, they've even almost ditched the whole "SJW" thing. I also love how people are acting like this is the perfect example of modern censorship in the western civilization, and how you just can't say anything anymore! Like bruh it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ videogame about a dog detective and a crazy gay rabbit that shoot things sometimes or go to space or communicate with inanimate objects and rats. Calm down. If you want over-the-top edgelord humor, go play one of the South Park games. There's your filling, have at it.

I guess ultimately I felt the need to write this review because I really enjoy the Sam & Max franchise, and I want to see it continue under a more modern take. Plus I mean, come on! The team here did such a great job with it! It saddens me to see so many negative reviews, where people clearly say the remaster itself is fantastic, and a great example of how to do a remaster proper - though still give the entire game a negative review simply because they're so obsessed with the anti-SJW narrative that's pushed out relentlessly. I'm glad to have paid full price for this, as I feel my expectations were surpassed and I'm happy to support a team like this... not to mention what a relief it is to purchase a game in 2021 that isn't full of microtransactions and overpriced DLCs - what I see here is a team of people who are passionate about a series and genuinely care about the work they do, and they deserve praise! Can't wait for season two and three to be remastered ♥

I'm totally addicted - this game never gets old.

This game also forced me to upgrade to 64 GB of RAM due to how many mods I have subscribed to. It's worth it 100%. Can't get enough of this game!

This game is awesome. I absolutely love travelling (especially out west) and I think trucks are really cool and interesting. They're also really fun to take on tough challenges with, and to just drive with a high quality wheel setup! This game is pretty realistic too, which is great because I love realism in these kinds of games.

My only complaints are that the highway on/off ramps are too tiny. There's usually way more room to get on/off safely. Also, it gets frustrating having to stop completely while on the highway going 70 MPH because the AI traffic doesn't know how to properly merge/let people over. Just a few small things.

Game is still amazing overall though. I love it!

As a huge fan of FlatOut 2, I was excited when this was first announced... uh, a long time ago. I don't exactly remember when, but it was definitely more than two years ago. I was excited back then, but then I totally forgot about it probably a little over a year ago, and even gave up on looking forward to it, as I honestly thought it was a totally dead project.

Then a few days ago, I found out that it had been finished, and so I launched it almost immediately.

Honestly I'm glad they made it the way they did. I know a lot of people are disappointed because it wasn't as 'comical' or 'insane' as FlatOut 2 was, which can be understandable, but I always personally prefer a more realistic approach. With one or two mods, it's almost perfect.

However, there are a few things that bother me about it. The main thing, is that there aren't very many cars to choose from. I know it's silly since they're all torn up and similar looking anyway, but I always like the effort of putting in more variety. Another thing, is the driver models are completely static during races and such. They don't even move their arms with the wheel, and they also bend and deform with the vehicle, which turns out looking incredibly weird and silly, as if they were part of the vehicle itself. Again, small and petty things, but it's still something I wanted to mention.

Overall, I recommend it! It's pretty good!

Starting with the bad, I honestly think it felt a bit unpolished, and almost unfinished. I know it can be petty to complain about minor grammatical errors, especially in a game that is free, but it is a visual novel, which relies heavily on reading text, and it can kind of ruin immersion if every other sentence has a word misspelled or missing punctuation. For example, you'd see things like "gean" instead of "began", missing periods, etc. Again, not a huge deal, and it doesn't happen too often, but still something that I think is important in a visual novel.

The biggest problem I had however, was the bugs/glitches. Loading to a previous save might trigger the next dialogue option you haven't seen yet, and on occasion would break the background, making it look daytime when it's not, turning black completely, etc. Not a deal breaker, but still. Also, on my first playthrough, I went with Seth. During that playthrough, I might've accidentally glitched into the 2nd date with Seth somehow, before I was supposed to. I still don't even know. Another small issue, sometimes the text auto-skips even when auto-skip is disabled. Plus, sometimes the choices you make don't change the future dialogue, in a way that kind of breaks immersion. For example; On the first date with Jax, you had three choices: kiss, hug, or shake his hand. I hugged him, and afterwards, you get to tell Coby all about it. Though, the narrator (the character you play as) kept mentioning how I kissed him, despite not actually having done so.

Also, a minor note, I know it's just a quickie style furry dating game, but still. I felt it was too short, and left me wanting more, but forced me to move on to the next one. Like I was getting into Jax so much but it was basically like "well you banged him, what else could you want?" Now, don't get me wrong, sex is pretty awesome, and I doubt this will bother most people. And, I like that the sex is there, but again, if you simply want a quick bang, then I'd expect a character that would satisfy you in that way, but Jax, as a written character, seemed to be more than just a booty-call. I know I'm taking it way too seriously, but that's not necessarily a bad thing! It's a free game, and I do appreciate the work that was put into it, I can't really complain too much.

Anyway, onto the good stuff. I honestly did enjoy it, for the most part. After my first buggy half-playthrough with Seth, I decided to restart and figure out how to get Jax's number, since overall he's my favorite character in the game. He is absolutely gorgeous and his personality and backstory is interesting to me. Also, I'm usually not a fan of animated .PNG images, but in this game it's actually done well. Most of the time it looks unnatural and ugly to me, but here it didn't bother me and kinda pulled off making it feel more lively. I did genuinely enjoy my interactions with the characters, mainly Jax of course, and I will be playing more at some point. Despite being a quickie type of visual novel, I did feel the characters were decently thought out and well designed. There were times where I was pleasantly surprised with how much character was put into some of the, er, well, characters, so good job on that.

The character creation thing is also a nice touch as well! Plus, if you have the uncensored version, you can actually see the character you created, uh, interacting with the others. So that's pretty cool! It may not be perfect, but gotta give credit where credit is due.

Overall, it's pretty good! I went in kind of expecting lifeless generic gay quickie butt stuff, but it really is more than that! I had a pretty good time overall. I'd recommend getting it if you're into this sort of thing, especially since it's free, and it can be quite charming. It really isn't bad!

Lovely game, blew me away. My expectations were of a somewhat basic storyline, mainly focused on one's love for dragons. But, it developed more than that. The story, IMO, is incredible. Say what you have to, but it had me genuinely intrigued. If you've got a special interest with dragons, space, and time travel, then you'll probably like this one. Oh, and I love the soundtrack!

Characters are awesome! For someone like me, they're so incredibly easy to fall in love with. Though, if there were to be something to complain about the game, is I felt I didn't get to spend enough romantic moments with them.

One last thing. This game will tear your heart out, rip it to pieces, throw it on the ground, and stomp on it. Keep that in mind before you dive in excepting a basic "Dragon Dating Simulator" game, there's much more to it than that.
