Monster Hunter World is a game that you either love or hate.
In my opinion its an absolute Gem in the gaming-universe and has so much to offer.
If you could only play 1 game for your entire life, I would choose Monster Hunter World, there is so much to do even if you finished the Story. Last night I finished the Iceborne Main-Story with 240ish Hours playtime on this Character.
You can put in endless hours into farming materials, catching rare pets for your home, doing side quests to unlock nice gadgets, do event quests with nice loot, do "raid" bosses with your friends, try out so many diffirent weapons until you find what fits with your playstyle... and so much more.
I also love the design and graphics of Monster Hunter World so much more than Monster Hunter Rise, but i think thats just my opinion.
so overall its a banger of a game and would easy be in the top 10 list of the best games of all time, if there wasnt the downside of it being to grindy for many people.
but yeah try it its awesome and with friends its so much more fun, even if you dont have friends just try it with some randoms.

I love Monster Hunter and Monster Hunter Wilds is a really good Game, but the Game has some annoying bugs, like fractures on the screen, in the middle of a fight. Also its not well optimized even if you have a decent PC. Without FrameGen it was a choppy, with FrameGen it had Texture-Issues... The biggest Plus is by far the combat-system. I played with the Gunlance and oh boy it was awesome. Also the game was way to easy, to 100%, i got it after 100 Hours, and im not that good of a player. Since than, they had some Updates and got some new Monsters in the game, but at the time i played it, there was a major lack of content, some people even made own content by collecting every weapon, armour, pet or whatever. Also the "Openworld" was not really that open, you have different Bioms like in the other games. In Monster Hunter World i loved to explore the maps, because you could find some new stuff and things that you need. In Monster Hunter Wilds it felt unnecessary because everything was already marked on the map, so you knew where everything was that you need, and you could put your mount on auto pilot so it ran to that location. So yeah, exploration was not needed. Last thing i wanna mention... the group-play and joining someone.... it was a pain in the a... they made it way to complicated with the different groups and systems.
Its a decent game, most if you play with others, the combatsystem is really fun. But i would say its not worth the full price.
