i don't get why some people in the community tab are so pressed- isn't this an indie game? and it obviously aims to convey a retro feeling reminiscent of ds1/demon's souls both in looks and gameplay, ofc it'll be "janky". imo it's pretty cool that a game of this nature is being made, it's like an indie love-letter to the souls genre, so i try to enjoy it for what it is.

absolutely adore the atmosphere, visuals are 10/10. love the "doll" thematic, even the items are cute. the map was a bit short but still enough for a demo, the layout was fun to traverse. finishing it made me want more of the game, so I'll definitely be getting on release. tho i agree that controls could have been kept the same as in ds games, since the game takes "inspiration" almost from everything already lol. oh and also, the hp bar visual is a bit too complicated, there's a good reason why most games have them in rather simplistic design, that way it's easier to track them visually via side view. i think it'd be better if it got reworked.
