First conversation I was unsure what to expect... I ended up bonding with someone over D&D and our shared appreciations of long-term friends rather than having many...even if many are lovely to have. 'Planning meetups just gets a bit messy' So true, so true...

A real warm pleasure to play.

What a cool concept for a game! I really enjoyed that there are disadvantages and advantages to both being in a wheel chair and crawling. The atmosphere of the game is great, The sound design is really good (my only criticism being whilst in a wheelchair the sound of shuffling cloth is too overpowering, I think the metal squeak of the wheelchair should be the main sound that comes through).

All-in-all really enjoyed this game and looking forward to it coming out

I played this right after finishing Baldur's Gate 3 for the first time. As the first game launched after finishing that journey I thought "Nothing could compare" but I was pleasantly surprised at how atmospheric, funny and emotional this story and it's world story-telling is. Amazing game, I'd buy this over a good sandwich any day!

Boy oh boy, that game made me feel weird. It certainly pushes the boundaries and hits you with some shock value. But it all feels very intentional, rather than a dev writing a story to play out a power fantasy. It felt like two very sickening individuals have been written for that purpose, to make you hate them.

The twist came as a surprise to me, although I think in the ending dialogue it was maybe emphasised too much what the twist was with it being repeated essentially 3/4 times in the dialogue.
I will not be playing this again anytime soon, but I don't mean that as an insult to the dev. I mean that as a compliment to their twisted (intentionally) vision.

Amazing software, I had used a number of free pixel art softwares before this and I can absolutely say that this is worth the money.

Features like:
- Rotating in a select box with added pixel correction
- A tileset layer that lets you make tile sets very easily
- indexed palettes
- reference images that maintain a high pixel count even whilst you're drawing at lower resolutions
- auto sprite-sheet maker
- Sprite resizing
And many many more make Aesprite a very affordable and borderline essential piece of software

Oh boy oh boy do I love this game.

I must say as a disclaimer, I am one of the few people it seems to not have any stuttering whilst playing the game. I have a mid-tier rig and mine has been fine.

BUT, the game itself, it is currently the first game I've played that has truly just gave you freedom, aside from Metal Gear Solid 5, STORY-wise atleast. It throws you into the world and you have to figure out how to kill these 8 targets that are split up into 4 districts, at 4 different times of day. This essentially functions as 16 map types (4 variations of each map)...and amongst those variations you go out into the world and find notes around naturally that just start talking about your targets, little emails between them. The game is written in a way where you won't be reading HUGE WALLS OF TEXT, but it'll still be engaging enough to feel like you've read something of importance, so it does well to keep your interest.

Then there's the choices you have, between killing targets, I always went after the same one in the morning because I perfected how to do that (or at least I thought I did, everyone has a different way of doing things of course) but, one time I didn't go after them at all, and this led to new clues for me to find because that character, was no alive for the rest of the day so they sent out emails and wrote new notes and such...

Which, talking about hunting targets brings me to the gameplay... if you enjoyed Dishonored, you'll most likely enjoy this game. The guns feel meaty but my love comes from the melee, the machete... and the addition of the kick feature, their ragdolls have me giggling and immersed, that combined with the melee executions makes the combat flow beautifully, you'll be traversing over obstacles with the parkour and sinking your knife into someone's chest and it'll feel like a cinematic. Also the array of weapons and abilities is pretty nice too, there isn't a HUGE arsenal, but there's enough to keep a lot of variation, also the fact you can only hold 3 guns and 2 powers means that you can switch it all out, making everything feel fresh rather than having it ALL at your disposal 24/7.

Another thing linked to the gameplay I love is the multiplayer, I don't think I've played an FPS with more enjoyable pvp, people die quick, which sounds like a worry for most at first, but it's great due to the fact there is no indication of where a player is, no health bars, no red outline around the character, which means for the most part you can hide in plain sight... I've easily been invaded by 20+ Juliana's and they'e all died to my machete due to how well the stealth system transitions from PVE to PVP... well... all except 1 Juliana... that one I shot a gas pellet at her and the spark of her gun ignited it, killing us both... which is awesome by the way!

The only things I don't like:

- Despite how little the game holds your hand and lets you go out into the world to investigate, part of me wishes they went all out with that, but they kind of go back to hand holding you a little bit by keeping an abridged version of notes, that tells you concise versions of the notes they've gathered.
- in the same node, I don't like that some objectives you can track, show where they are on your hud.

- I think this comes from my love of Rogue-likes and the game isn't MEANT to exclusively be a rogue-like, but I wish that you couldn't infuse stuff, or at least if you infused it'd only last for one run and then you had to re-infuse stuff... I know the goal is to grow powerful so you can breeze through levels, but I would have liked to see a hard-mode that got rid of that, so you had to go from scratch with your loadout.

This game is wonderful fun, the combat is a satisfying form of hack and slash, with skill based parries, dodges and a mixture of combos that are easy to pick up for a new player, and whereas it's not a necessity to learn the more complex combos and moves, they are there for those that wish for more complexity in their game play, wishing to master the combat.

Dark Alliance also features a wide range of variation, boasting a variety in enemy roster, Duergar, Goblins, Cultists just to name a few. Some of the fights can be genuinely difficult, Whether you are battling a large number of squishy foes, or a big beefy boy in a 1 on 1.

So far I've only played Driss the Drow and Dwarf the Dwarf (I don't know his name) and they both have fulfilling-ly different play styles. ESSENTIALLY D&D: Dark Alliance is a super fun game and I've been having a lot of fun with it. It's a fair price for what you get!

I've really enjoyed pumping hours into this, the devs still update it and there's enough of a playerbase to have MASSIVE battles constantly.

It's a lot of fun to play with friends or solo, you can either go in like a mindless soldier or join up with an outfit and get involved with actual tactical strategies. I would recommend.

This is an amazing game, the live action blends seamlessly with the graphical environment with beautiful use of proper lighting. And the game's visuals are just great.

The gameplay is a real treat, even simple things like opening doors with keys feels satisfying but that's just the small details. Being hunted by Jimmy is terrifying, which is a testament to the games direction as he should be just a funny looking man, but they manage to create something very unsettling about him. The way he moves, and seeing him walk past whilst looking through the peep holes will never stop being cool...and his AI is surprisingly tactical, my most key moment that I can think of is when I was hiding from Jimmy in a closet. I heard him enter the room, watched him look around for me, then I heard the sound of the door slamming shut again, assuming he'd left like every other time, I left the closet to lock the door. Suddenly he burst out of the toilet and scared me to my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ core.

Ontop of the gameplay, the sound design really brings out the atmosphere, hearing Jimmy taunt Maya from somewhere on the floor you're on can make the eerie environment suddenly become way more tense.

The story is a lot of fun too, investigating the hotel to find clues about various ghosts' deaths and connect those clues in conversations with them is very intriguing. You find new pieces about the plot with each talk and that enables you to go back to other ghosts you've already talked to, to find even more about them, connecting the two ghosts. It's a web of intrigue that just doesn't stop giving.
