A polished and premium version of Depot Dungeons, one of the juiciest and most delightful puzzlers I've had the pleasure to play. I'm only a few levels into this version, but I can't wait to play more.

The top two negative comments I saw before buying Blue Prince were:
1. Too much randomness.
2. Not enough resolution options.

It's true that there's a lot of randomness! On a tactical level, it can be a challenge to manage, and it's easy to end up boxed in or unable to fill in some corners of your mansion. There are various ways to mitigate this, and my feeling is that it won't be a problem for anyone used to Slay the Spire et al.

On the puzzle level, many things require combining multiple elements, eg an item and a room - which you may not see in the same run! It means that, if you have an idea, it might be many runs until you get a chance to execute it. On the other hand, there are so many different strands to pull on that there's something to do in just about any run. (Unless you box yourself in off the bat - see above. Heh.) It's an odd decision, but for me, it works.

It's also true that there aren't enough resolution options. I can't argue with that. But I think the game's well worth playing anyway.

There is nothing else quite like Tactical Nexus. It is wildly ambitious and incredibly unique, despite wearing its inspirations on its sleeve. It doesn't succeed at everything it tries, but its highs are high and its lows are easily forgotten amidst the frankly incredible amount of gameplay present.

I mean, try it. You'll see what I mean.

Deeply bizarre game (affectionate, positive). Very charming writing, oddly satisfying mechanics, and just very memorable all around. BUSINESS.

An incredible exploration experience. Discoveries tiny and huge around every corner. Like a dream of the original Zelda somehow manifested into reality.

Really good game!

Early Access Review
Very tasty little morsel of a game. You can definitely see the StS and ItB inspiration - in the same way as those games, it feels delicious to set up a really good turn, to trick enemies into hitting each other, etc. It does feel like more could be added, but we're early in early access, so I'm not worried. Nice work, dev!

A lovely gem of a game. Does a fantastic job of putting the player into someone else's shoes, and giving them just the right amount of gentle challenge. A game I'll remember fondly for some time.

A charming, chill puzzler. Absolutely full of moments that made me gasp in surprise and delight, but easy to cruise through the 'main route' (if not all of the side puzzles!). A triumph.

A strange and charming puzzler. Very clearly a labour of love - tons of character, from the lil animations to the reams of flavour text. Great level select UI.
