Once you get past the base game (which isnt a bad game by any means) the game really takes off in each of the expansions.

there is a bit of a lull once you finish the base game but havent met the requirements to start the first expansion. DONT LET THIS PUT YOU OFF.

This is the best story in an MMO I've ever experience and they do leveling right. its not all just fetch quest and kill 10 of these things.

if you can get on the multiplayer mod this game is a whole heap of fun.

single player is great to just veg out and go for a drive and what not but having a convoy with 5-10 friends or strangers is in a game of this size is something you just have to try atleast once!
