Mission being hard are ok for me but they need to fix some bug right now..
Some mission are bugged and all the enemy just woke up all at the same time, making the mission borderline impossible.
especially mission 28 and 39. with 27, we can brute force it with 2 air raiders being a decoy with shields and carpet bombing the entire map, but with 39.. oh boy I hope you have a good fencer on your team because the android will delete your souls in 2 seconds
If anyone found this same glitch please tell me how can I fix this or work around it lol

Desync/random crash still occur but bearable (once or twice per 2 hours avg.)
Mandatory Epic login has been adjusted and you can choose to not login with it.
Game is good. go play. also please don't use Goliath in a cave mission (trust me)

As of today after the announcement from D3 about removing the Epic sign in requirement
It is great that they do listen to their customer and act accordingly, however. I have to leave a negative review for now, only because the game can't be launch without Epic online service(EoS) and the program itself is also the cause of my problem.

***If anyone else have this problem where you can't launch the game because EoS stuck updating try closing the EoS verification screen that pops up as soon as you launch the game***

for those who looking for the game review, this is the best EDF in the series. No doubt
Was it worth the price tag ? probably not but It is fun nonetheless.

I will update my review again after the problem with epic have been solved.

It's been almost half an hour and I'm still stuck at updating this garbage Epic online service thing that they didn't even listed on the store page...
what a disaster

This game will literally bricked your PC.
Waited for more update from the dev before you decided to buy this game

I'm not even good at shmup but this game just revived my childhood of playing them and got me really hooked.
It's basically a love letter to the shmup genre with how many references from another legendary shmup game and easter there is hiding but also still maintains its own charm perfectly.
The music, the art, and the story are on point.
It took me wayyy too long just to complete the main story but it definitely worth the time, the difficulty was also not too challenging and playable for casual players so I recommended anyone who used to love this genre to try this game.

Edit :

After I cleared both TLB and White vanilla I can say that this game is now my all-time favorite shmup, the intensity you get from the TLB and the climb to try again and again Is all worth it in the end.
The white vanilla mode (simulation mode if you already finished TLB) is a nice mode for people who want a fast approach to the game and also a secret bonus dialog for when you achieve different ranks.

All I can say is to give this game a try, whether you are a shmup fan or not, and experience the story (and the banger of a music) for yourself

Definitely an improvement from the older games, they remove most of the items you probably never gonna use i.e. Torch, Firefly, garbage bag(since you can just close your eyes) and also improvement to the puzzle in the game, not just super obvious puzzle. now you actually need to use your brain sometimes(it still not too hard to understand though) The boss in this game are much more creative than ever, including sub boss you find throughout the story line. this make the game more engaging along with the story in this game, which is also wayy longer and deeper than previous game so there is more to uncovered and explore. There are still a lot of collectable and random encounter scattered around just like older games for an endgame content as usual, so be sure to go find them for an extra story explanation and content.

Though, there is a few downside I find, like. the hiding mechanics(closing eyes) that doesn't seems that helpful. most of the time you can just run past everything easily (except the one that force you to use it in the story) which I really want the dev to be more creative with it (They have more interesting use at the very end of the game which is a bit sad) and also some part of the game where you need to fight the bosses. there is a problem where when you ran out of stamina and the cutscene plays. you don't get your stamina back, and the bosses tend to spawn right next to you while you don't have any stamina, which then result in you getting killed.

Overall, I recommend trying this game. It has all the improvement in all features. definitely worth your money either you are a fan of this series or newcomer.

Not a horror game, more like a heavy feel trip as always.
